After our amazing success in the Ames Straw Poll and our historic vote turnout, we are planning a Money Bomb for August 20th to capitalize on our momentum. And, August 20th is also my birthday :)

I knew they were going to have to have a moneybomb soon because the fundraising has been really paltry so far this quarter.

The campaign needs to really advertise for a big money bomb some time in the future. It would be nice to really have a good buildup to a huge money bomb.

I liked it better when the grassroots organized moneybombs. There was so much effort and creativity behind them and they were promoted well in advance, making them the most successful by far. I'll still donate to this one but I can't spare much.

Advanced notice doesn't matter here.. If we knew about this 3 weeks ago, the enthusiasm would still be the same. Everyone was focused on the straw poll, now they're pumped, and this is a great plan.

The grass roots did organize it, just not ALL the grass roots. Some thought we should wait until the end of quarter and make that bigger, some didn't want to make a big deal of his age (it's his birthday). But I've seen graphics, the logo is Spirit of 76 with a picture of Ron on it.

Guys, this is really big.

The campaign hasn't raised much this quarter and I think they are working on the assumption that they are going to hit at least 5 mill this quarter. Not only will we not have enough money to compete, but i believe the campaign will have to scale-down operations if we don't AT LEAST hit 5 million this quarter.

last time we raised $5,258,455 in the third quarter, it would be a shame to not even hit that number this time....

I'm sure Bachmann is getting a lot of $$ after her straw poll victory are we going to give Dr. Paul the money he needs to compete?

By my own projection (could be wrong, of course) we have raised roughly 2 million so far this quarter (That is being generous i believe) and we have roughly 1.3 months to raise at the minnimum 3 million to get to 5 million.
