Bachmann, Perry, Pawlenty mentioned on EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Not a single one of these news sites, in their top headlines, as of this posting 2:30PM CST on Sunday after essentially tieing for 1st in the straw poll, mention Ron Paul.

Paul appears in a poll on Yahoo, and in an older story at the bottom of Breitbart. Other than that, he fails to exist.

RE: Drudge - Friday night is when they release all the news they don't want people to see but still get to say they released it when backed into a corner.

Meh, had he won it would have been the same thing.

With the obligatory "Why the Ames straw poll doesn't mean much" story slapped on to educate the public on what to think of things.

I'm sure theres plenty of mention of Huntsman and Romney even though they barely placed.

There has been even less mention of Randy Travis, even though he clearly bought Bachmann her victory. What did you expect?

Yep, just like they did to Ron during the last CPAC Straw Poll. If he wins, they discredit the poll. If anyone else wins, they will explain how much it will help that person's campaign.

Notice how in this video, the reporter says at the end (2:01 mark) that it's not about Ron Paul winning the CPAC Straw Poll for a second year in a row, but it's about the strength of Mitt Romney coming in Second Place!

The point of the silence is to keep positive coverage Paul's name or campaign achievements out of the big six, 'A' list media---BROADCAST NBC, CBS, ABC, AP, NY Times, and Washington Post through the rest of the year. This keeps him from being seen or heard by the regular folks and voters who don't watch cable shows, or are C-Span junkies. I keep saying FORGET CABLE and online news sites for a reason. The media throws us a bone of coverage on a 5 minute Fox business interview or web site article, to distract us while they soft blackout Paul where it truly matters.

Later, when they shut him out of coverage altogether in January, the hard blackout looks like a reasonable editorial decision from the point of view of most folks, who never noticed any broadcast news coverage of him anyway. Even if Paul was losing in the debates, it wouldn't matter, from the point of view of reaching regular voters, because most of them don't watch the cable debates, or all those 5 minute cable interviews. When will we learn?
