View Full Version : Weird - Michele Bachmann keeps a low profile at straw poll event

http://caucuses.desmoinesregister.com/2011/08/13/bachmann-is-keeping-a-low-profile/

this follow her canceling an event yesterday, roping reporters from speaking to her yesterday (security held a rope as a moving barrier as she walked per a news item) staying only 3 minutes to speak at the state fair soap box, leaving the debate at every break even when asked not to by Fox (and returning late from one of them as the debate progressed without her)....

I'm starting to wonder if there really is something to the migraine thing. I had discounted it, but this is not typical straw poll behavior or debate behavior and you would think if she was just sick, they'd just say so.

Also, a tweet just said that a voter noted she promised music, food, and golf cart rides and so far no music, no food and the golf carts are shut down.

No one is reporting on this, basically, so if anyone there knows more, please let us know.

(the summation above is from articles you can find in the opposing candidate section, but those are the interesting parts, I thought.)

If she cannot handle the publicity level already, then I don't see how she will last until the caucuses.

Sounds like her support is strong, so that's not the problem.

Migraines?

Some sort of funding problem?

Hubby decided he didn't want to be "First Gentleman" after all?

Or is she simply getting overcome by the stress of the moment? After all, she's gone from (no offense intended) a relatively unknown representative from a midsized state to someone who is getting constantly bombarded by unfriendly media, like the unflattering closeups pasted all over Time magazine. I'm not a fan of Bachmann at all.

Repeat, at all. Zero.

But I really can feel just a weeeee little bit of pity toward her for the beating she's been taking. And that's just a fraction of all the crap that Ron Paul has to put up with almost constantly.
