Im looking for an article that did a great job at discussing alternatives to WWII and the truth about it. It could have been by Tom Woods or Lew Rockwell. Did we even have to be involved? Didnt the Russians do most of the work?

What part of WWII do you want to learn about?

This book comes to mind:

Book Review by Tom Woods:

A necessary history lesson: Patrick Buchanan's Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War teaches a history lesson that warns America not to follow the same path Britain took in the early 20th century. (http://www.thefreelibrary.com/_/print/PrintArticle.aspx?id=182663449)

I am not so worried about WWII, though it is good to understand history and avoid mistakes.

I am far more concerned with Alternatives to WWIII?

;)

If Bush wasn't financing the Nazi's, we probably would have (should have) entered the war earlier to defend our allies. If we had entered early on, we would have been fighting the Russians too. They had signed a non-aggression pact and invaded Poland and Finland along with Germany. This exposed the weaknesses of the Russians and Hitler decided to invade them for their resources. The Russians were loosing badly and Hitler's greatest mistake was splitting his forces during the advance to Moscow only having to regroup them again. He wasted that time and fall rains and then winter had set in and slowed his advance which gave the Russians time to defend Moscow. The Russians pushed Hitler's forces back and a day later we landed in North Africa. Hitler had to split even more of his resources which forced him to fight on a much broader front. He lost Africa and we invaded Europe. If he had listened to his generals, who had warned him of all the mistakes he was making, he probably would have conquered Russia and held onto North Africa. Instead of taking responsibility, he blamed his generals and punished them. That must have been some really good coke he was on.
