Reagan is a saint to the GOP.....Slick Rick was an up and coming pol in the 80's who voted against St. Ronald.

That sounds even worse than supporting Gore in 88.

Im gonna try to get on Limbaugh's show and ask him how he feels about this :D

And you know that he was ALGORE's Texas campaign chairman in 1988, right? The following year he met Karl Rove.

As much as I'd like to see this used against him, it just won't stick. It was a long time ago and he can always just attribute it as a phase in his life (which he has).

This is the point he should be challenged on. He has mentioned that he has since "come to his senses" regarding the Carter thing.

He's a political chameleon, AKA opportunist. But it's his Bilderberg attendance that alarms me most.

It might not mean much in a general....but I believe many GOP primary voters (especially those over 45 who remember how bad carter was)...will have an issue with it.

Grayson's 1992 support for Clinton killed him in KY.

I hear alot of the GOP keep saying that Reagan was a Democrat before too. However, Reagan was not a Democrat in 1988. This means that Slick Rick goes against everything the Great Reagan believed in. Not only that, he probably voted for Dukakis as well.
Some people say that he was a typical Southern Democrat. I call BS. Look at the Texas electoral map of 1980, 1984, and 1988. With the exception of the regular Hispanic vote along the border, the Republicans overwhelmingly won. I know people change, but if people can’t see this chameleon for who he is, I just don't know what to say.
This needs to be brought up everywhere with all the Republicans who are always worshiping Reagan.

These threads really need to be started in the Opposing Candidates subforum, or they are going to be lost.
