What gives? The moderators keep BASHING Paul. "Is Paul under the influence?" Seriously? I don't get it. Does anyone else?

I thought they were bashing Santorum with that question. And I disagree; this is great -- they're letting Ron talk.

Ron's doing good. At least they are letting him speak.

They're letting him speak on issues that will hurt him to the average republican voter. He hasn't been allowed to talk much about his bread and butter. Economics, Fed policy, budget, debt etc... Instead they want him to talk about Iran and comparing him to Obama and his policies, not being tough enough on gay marriage, and to a lesser extent immigration. Foxnews is doing their best to undermine Ron just days before the primary. Boy I hope Ron can churn out the ground game come Saturday.

He learned from the last time around. He followed the rules to the letter, ending his comments at the buzzer. This time around he said "heck everyone else got away with it last time, let's play the game"
More confident, more aggressive and polite. Told Santorium 3 times "Please" while he was talking. No rude come back.

I thought the debate moderators were more civil to Ron than all of the others tonight.

Did everyone notice Rick Santorum's neocon foreign policy got boo-ed this time while Ron Paul's got cheers... Guys, we are going to win =D

Ehh, other than not giving him equal time, I don't think it was too bad. A lot of the candidates were getting angry with the panel. The takeaway is that Dr. Paul had a good performance going into the straw poll Saturday.

Break the link.

Better yet, take it out altogether. Fox pulled the poll from their website. Continuing to visit and vote just proves we're networking to win.

YouTube comments, audience boos and media spin are making me feel uneasy about this debate. Unless we win Ames, I fear our poll numbers may drop...

They referred to him as an expert of the constitution. I thought they were very fair even though they ignored him for the first hour.

I think they had a much better environment of respect for Ron this time around. Ron, despite his omnipotent wisdom and integrity, still needs to be criticized afterall. Albeit, the last time he was "criticized" was an utter embarrassment for the major media. This time they're focusing on issues that really do matter to some. Such as Iran. Their leader has made it very clear that he intends to harm us (of course Ron is fully aware of the reason for this and how little a threat Iran really is), but the other issue is Israel. Many people believe that because we're such good friends that we need to run to their aid when they're threatened. This is the exact opposite of what our four-fathers (especially Jefferson) had intended for our trade and intercontinental policy.

"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none."

Most people don't realize that our relationship with Israel quite simply: never should have been. According to TJ our whole entire situation with the UN, not just Israel, is completely unethical. We should definitely be their friends, but by no means their allies. This is the core philosophy that many Americans don't, or I should rather say, can't comprehend.

If our friends are in trouble, should we help them? Of course! But we cannot be their 24/7 body guard, or their loving and caring nanny. They have to take care of themselves, plain and simple.

Ignoring him for an hour when he's got more support than any of these zionist, boot-licking, neononservative shills isn't "very fair".

This.

Sounds like they were 'picking on' everybody. Either they wanted a feeding frenzy for ratings, they wanted a feeding frenzy to clear the way for 'Golden Boy' Perry, or they just wanted a feeding frenzy because they're Faux and their job is to make Republicans look like idiots.

Take your pick. In any case, I think the more they ignore Paul the more they're admitting that they're not smart enought to figure out how to make him look bad...

I originally wasn't impressed w/ Paul's performance last night but I threw in the towel after the first hour was up cause I'd had enough. Sounds like they gave him more speaking time once the older crowd headed off to bed.
