I couldn't see where in position because it was zoomed in, but Fox News just showed Pawlenty on stage and I saw a podium with "Ron Paul" on it right next to one that said "Mitt Romney". I don't think he was on the end though, probably somewhere near the middle.

I love this. Should be a good one tonight.

Wonder if Romney will laugh at all of Paul's answers like four years ago.

Can we confirm this yet? If so - awesome!

"I think Congressman Paul has read too many of Ahmadinejad's press release, HAR! HAR! HAR! HAR!"

if, by laugh at them you mean simply restate them as his own, then yes, he will laugh at them.

I like it. Allows RP to be standing right next to Romney while taking on his terrible record. Hopefully Dr. Paul is in a confrontational mood and makes the most of his placement.

Yep. They tried to set up tension between Pawlenty and Romney last time, and Pawlenty caved. Ron should use Pawlenty's phrase "ORomneycare" right to Mitt's face. (But he won't.)

Interesting to see that they have the four frontrunners in Iowa (Paul, Romney, Bachmann, Pawlenty) right smack dab in the middle of the stage.

Plus rep: Wow. Two years ago, who would have ever dreamed that Gingrich would be on fringe? He's lower ranked than Huntsman!

Yeah, it seems like they set the stage to resemble the latest poll taken. Good.

Ya know the interesting thing about Ron (Channeling my inner Rand ;)) is that he can be confrontational about issues...particularly about the Fed and war...and still not stoop to the types of personal insults that may turn voters off. I don't think he even really needs to say the ORomneyCare line (however accurate it may be) to dismantle Mitt head-to-head. I'm excited for tonight, there is some serious momentum brewing.

Either that or he just made this up. This is the poster formerly known as Hamadeh. Where'd he get this?

I noticed that too.... I'm happy with that. I would've like Paul to be centered.. but this is still good... Right next to Romney is a plus.

Tell me about it! I'm already bouncing off the walls and randomly shouting "Ron Paw!!!" when no one is looking.

I just hope that Ron slows down when speaking, and I hope he tries to frame the issues in a way that appeals to conservative Republicans. For example, rather than advocating that drugs be legalized, he should frame it in terms of following the 10th amendment. He should make it clear that the other Republicans on stage are hypocrites for claiming to support the 10th amendment while also supporting federal drug laws.

In 2007 we would have blasted the msm for following uncorrect polls. Let's keep it consistent, it should be done randomly.

Hopefully Doug Wead has been giving him some pointers on how to more effectively frame his responses to resonate. Sometimes you need a freedom scalpel, not a club.

Vice-versa, actually. Ron Paul has been using the freedom scalpel from day one. Sometimes you need a freedom club, not a scalpel.
