some of this is pretty decent analysis, though, once you get through the snark. But obviously, with Ron polling in third nationally AND in Iowa, I disagree with the conclusion that Ron's is more of a cause than a campaign.

It is a campaign.

And it is ALSO a cause...:p

I think that this straw poll will be the death blow to many of the current candidates.

I think bachmann and pawlenty will continue on, no matter what. If they did abysmally, they would leave the race, but even pawlenty is expected to come in 4-5. However, I think it's possibly the end of the line for folks like cain, snatorum, johnson, and mccotter if they're at the bottom of the list. Looks like hunstman will stick at it until NH.

That depends on when the deadline is for bachmann to register to run for her house seat. She can't run for both at the same time. Another factor would be if a strong candidate registers to run for her seat. Something I think an RP person should do, immediately.
