"Texas Gov. Rick Perry intends to join the presidential race Saturday..."

Trying to upstage RP's inevitable win?

Its one thing to see the comparisons to 2008, but why are writers still even mentioning data from 1988...?

they try to paint his support as shaky in the last sentence of this paragraph when in fact his support is the least shaky per poll crosstabs!

A large crowd came out to see him in Marshalltown and Paul yard signs can be seen throughout the area. In their Aug. 8 online edition, polling service Rasmussen Reports reported Paul with 16 percent of support from likely Republican caucus attendees. This put him in the top three. Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann earned 22 percent support while former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney picked up 21 percent. The poll was conducted Aug. 4. Polls can be tricky, however. They are a snapshot of voter’s opinions at one point in time. And the same report said many voters are open to changing their mind before the January 2012 caucus day arrives.

Also RP paid $ 31,000, not $ 51,000 for his booth space...
