For the last campaign, people spent a lot of time brainstorming slogans for use on signs, bumper stickers, and other campaign materials. In an attempt to keep these slogans from slipping down the Memory Hole, here are a few of my personal faves. Hope they're of some help.

As we've been reminded over the past week, we have to act as our own media, and this collection provides a good resource for any 'Paulunteers' making signs to get the word out. But as a forum post, it's easily buried and forgotten, which is a shame.

It'd be great if these slogans were posted on a prominent Web page where folks could easily access them. Any suggestions for where/how we might do this?

Great point, but it also depends on the context. If it's a sign that'll be used on its own, no doubt, you're quite right. We can't assume everyone knows who Ron Paul is, even today. But if it's a sign that'll appear amidst a sea of other RP signs -- for example, in a rush-hour 'sign waving' -- you can get away without it, and use the extra space for longer messages.

I really like the authentic branding. It plays to Ron Paul's strengths as an incorruptible candidate and masks one of his main weaknesses, being his age.

While I like many of the anti-mainstream messages, I don't think they really have much of an appeal to, well, the mainstream.

Obama ran and won on a message of hope and change and ended up being all flash; Ron Paul should run as a man of substance.

My suggestion would be: Ron Paul: Authentic.

Maybe not for signs exactly but for things like printed flyers, web banners and forum signatures I think a good type of headline to use is one phrased in the form of a question. For example:

Could you really be a Ron Paul supporter and not know it?

In the case of a web banner or a forum signature it could then say "Click here to find out..." Another example might be something like:

You may think you know where Ron Paul stands on the issues but are you really sure?

And so forth. The reason I think these are good is it forces the reader to ask themselves a mental question. In the first case for example they have to mentally ask themselves: "Could I really be a Ron Paul supporter? I don't consider myself one but I guess I'll at least read it to be sure." Other types of headlines make it much easier for the person to just think "Well, I already read some stuff about Ron Paul, I don't need to read that" and just throw it away or ignore it.

The irony is that Texas used to "execute" corporations all of the time. The Texas Constitution of 1836 made banking corporations illegal and the TX Constitution of 1845 made it where if other corporations were to exist in TX, they had to have a super majority of the TX Congress approve of them.
