Purse Iowa is a political action committee co-founded by Iowa House Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer, R-Garner, that raises money to help the campaigns of Republican women. Upmeyer is backing Gingrich.

Voices of Conservative Women, a Minnesota 501(c)(4) organization, and its VoicesPAC 527 political fund, also work to elect conservative women.

The breakfast’s organizers invited Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney but they have not said they’re coming, said Christina Pierson, spokeswoman for Voices of Conservative Women.

At the straw poll, the two women’s groups will host a “corn poll,” where attendees can weigh in on their favorite presidential candidate with kernels of corn. Results will be announced hourly throughout the day.

Other special guests at the breakfast:

Iowa Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds
Iowa House Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer
Minnesota Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch
Minnesota Rep. Mary Franson
Minnesota Republican National Committee member Pat Anderson
