Dont have a clue, but the Hacker group Anonymous has stated that it will take down Facebook on Nov 5th, 2011.

As far as your SSL Certs, try updating Windows, Root Certificat Updates. Might also be something on your computer causing the SSL errors...

Turns out it was a known issue. Just needed to recycle power on the router.
