Letting Iowans primarily handle Iowa pays off

this is NOT against activists who have specific roles in Iowa, such as the For Liberty Screening etc, but this is an example of media coverage:


Paul’s ace is a committed cadre of supporters who will drive to the ends of the earth – or at least to Ames, the geographic center of Iowa – to cast ballots for him. His campaign also won’t say how many people are signed up to go, but one Des Moines-area Republican activist sees much more enthusiasm in Iowa for Paul’s libertarian/tea party brand than when the Texan ran in 2008.

“Four years ago, at Ron Paul rallies, most of the cars were from out of state,” says Pete Jeffries, a Dallas County Republican Party official. “Today, the parking lots are full of Iowa plates.”

This matters, because to take part in the straw poll one has to be an Iowa resident and vote in person.....

We also need to keep in mind that we can sometimes trick ourselves if we keep moving the 'revolution masses' to wherever Ron Paul pops up next. What looks like a lot of support is just the same group of people making a showing. I would much rather see what Ron Paul's support is on a state-by-state basis, so we get a better picture, so I'm glad they're doing it this way.
