But republicans are to blame, and the democrats aren't doing enough, the say the pollsters.

The public's opinion of the Tea Party movement has soured in the wake of the debt-ceiling debate. The Tea Party is now viewed unfavorably by 40 percent of the public and favorably by just 20 percent, according to the poll. In mid-April 29 percent of those polled viewed the movement unfavorably, while 26 percent viewed it favorably. And 43 percent of Americans now think the Tea Party has too much influence on the Republican Party, up from 27 percent in mid-April.

Damn Tea Partiers! Ruining everything by losing a vote.

But its a New York Times/CBS news poll, so take it with a grain of salt.

Edit: Actually, there are lots of stats in this report that are rediculous. Consider this a joke thread. Let's make up our own statistics that would be rediculous if they weren't plausible, I'll start:

'Although Congress's disapproval rating is 82%, 103% of Congressional incumbents are expected to be re-elected in Nov. 2012.'

MODERATOR NOTE: I meant to post this in General Politics. This isn't really 'grassroots' related.

In other news, according to inside sources the Dow Jones crash was caused by the Tea Party's relentless nasty comments about the debt deal. "If they only kept their mouth shut. The media clearly has a Tea Party bias." said one source who requested to be anonymous. More at 11.
