This statue was destroyed after a police officer responded to a call about a stray dog in the area.

Apparently the dog refused to sit, lay down, or roll-over, so the officer proceeded to blast it with everything he had.

Still resisting and standing its' ground, backup was clearly needed...

likely a donation. even if not the best use of funds, I see no reason to turn down the statute if it were a gift.

Yeah , but I am thinking dog food may have been a better use ? I am cursed though , with being practical .

If you have never been to a scrap yard , it is interesting ,I need to make a trip to my local one as well , get rid of my old auto / mower batteries .

If it has been torched and scrapped , all they need to do is check with the local scrap yards to see who sold alot of bronze, unless they were smart enough to travel out of the area to sell it . If they were stupid and sold it local , they will have them on camera and ID . Happens in my area fairly often , since the crash and metal prices going so high....
