Great job!! Anyone know what city/town this is? I presume AMES? Can you see it from a major highway? Keep up the great work!

Fantastic billboard.

I'm guessing Des Moines, not Ames, due to the building architecture and urbanization.

According to MediaQuest Outdoor, most of their signs are near Cedar Rapids:

The buy includes a full-page ad in the Ames Tribune, and billboards in strategic locations in Iowa.

It's a digital billboard. Seems like they have 2 of them:

That's cool that it's digital. I wonder if it would cost any more to give them multiple designs to use and then have them rotated. Like have three or four different ones, each with a different message. If they're already renting the billboard for X amount of time, it shouldn't cost any more (or much more) to do that, should it? I wonder if they could do that.

We need one of these on every street in the U.S.

I love the picture of Ron in this one... I'm with Anaconda, I hope that many of them go up all around the country.

Glad to see they got rid of the awkward comma at the end of the first line. I think the text on this one is perfect, but I agree it would be better to have used one of the more serious-looking photos instead of one where he's smiling like that. The economy is no laughing matter!

I notice that the ad copy the PAC posted had the 'paid for by' and Gage's credit bit in it, but the company creating the billboard seems to have messed that up -- unless that info is behind the sort of boom thing (the light?) at the bottom of the billboard.

The billboard picture is also missing the RevolutionPAC "not authorized by any candidate or candidate's comittee". You can tell it's not just cropped off the bottom by checking the position of Ron Paul's shirt/tie.

I wonder if the digital billboard doesn't support a resolution where the text is too small.

that's what I meant by the 'paid for' bit. Considering the logistics issues over grabbing that info at the last minute, it's a bit ironic.

Odd. From Facebook:

"Revolution PAC: there is a disclaimer on the original ad file we sent them"

Three questions.

1. On what frequency is our ad displayed? I haven't caught it once. :)
2. Are there going to be more billboards displayed in Iowa? If so, any idea when?

Thanks. :)

I believe 60 second intervals. There will be 2 board total. And the Ames paper printed insert of course.

can the billboard be seen from the highway (interstate?) that passes about a block away?

There is a disclaimer, you just can't see it from that image.
