I am curious...I avoid all the "social networking" sites like the plague, for a number of reasons, so I'm not savvy about these things.

But what was it that caused "myspace" to become worthless and "facebook" to jump to the top?

I couldn't make it past 10 minutes. I was reminded of too many horrible stories people have personally told me about what supralawful law enforcement agents have done to them over the years.

Want to know something odd. I'm on facebook and i never signed up for it. I have never been on myspace but all my friends and family where like ' why don't you want to be my friend' and i was like ' What the fuck are you talking about?' And they where like 'On face book' And i was like 'what the fuck is face book?' and they where like ' your on facebook, accept my friend request!' and i was like ' Im not on facebook and if i was i would not accept your friend request anyways'.

So someone stole my shit or i get really drunk and sign up for things like this.

Hard to say but im fairly certain that it would suck as much as i think it does if i was ever to give it a minuet of my time.

Seen it before. It's worth the watch. NEVER call the police!! They, as a group, are one of the greatest threats to humanity. Stories like those on this vid make me wonder why more people aren't fighting back.

The spam was out of control. You'd get tons of friend requests from porn bots. Also, Facebook had a lot cleaner interface and loaded faster.

I remember when I got my first (and so far only) speeding ticket. I was freaking out and was saying to myself that I hope that my uncle doesn't find out about the ticket since he's a local cop and could tell me parents who would be furious. The cop asked, "who is your uncle." I told him, and the cop knew him. I told him not to tell him, and he said "ok." My parents find out a couple of days later about the ticket, and they found out from my grandfather who, for some reason, reads the police reports in the newspaper, likely looking for me in it. My parents told me that my grandfather told them that he also found out from my uncle, who was called five minutes after I got the ticket. Bastard.

People are isolated when they attack. They pick us off one by one while we are alone and vunerable. Try getting away with that shit in a large crowd that is already pissed at the cops.

True that. I'm reminded of that video of cops assaulting people at a European soccer game (I believe AF posted it), and the whole audience-including players-jumped on and beat the cops till they fled.

Facebook was a better product, less spam and glitter. Once they opened up facebook to non-students, most myspace users over 18 jumped ship like myself.
