As far as city hall meetings go, yesterday's was raucous. Members of the National Black United Front, Houston Ministers Against Crime, city council hopefuls, and Citizens Against Red Light Cameras filled the hall to standing-room-only capacity to complain to Mayor Annise Parker about red light cameras. Thirty-six people signed up to speak their piece.

I'm sorry but in a city of 5 million or more people - 36 is a joke
Houston is filled with brainless sheep - like every other major U.S. city

Just being a smartass here, but Houston's population according to the 2010 census is 2,099,451.

Houston is big, but it's mainly suburbs. We are spread out all over the place.

Yeah like most American cities most of the metro population is spread out in urban sprawl. The Houston area has a population of close to 6 million.
