Just called headquarters, they said no. :(
Oh well. That means we have to work twice as hard.

That's good in my opinion. We can say it's entirely a grassroots effort with no involvement of the campaign.
We all know what happens when the campaign takes something over.

Yeah...personally I'm happy they're not sending out the fundraising e-mail. I want 11/5 to be a demonstration of the power of grassroots.
i doubt they want to be associated with the 'november 5th' and the significance of that date. (or what the mainstream folks will give the significance of that date.)

Don't be a hater. It's because if the campaign collaborated by sending out an e-mail (especially after being asked to do so) they could be accused of violating FEC regulations.

Good. HQ should in fact NOT send an email about Nov 5. Its a grassroots event, not an official event.

I think it is partly this, but per FEC they can't officially endorce a grassroots effort.

I think your low opinion of the campaign is misplaced.

thisnovember5th.com should be the one sending out an email to all those that signed the pledge.

Why shouldn't the campaign push for this to be as huge as humanly possible?? Obama's campaign bombarded me with emails during his 2 day 2million dollar push.
The official campaign's email list is a hell of a lot larger than thisnovember5th.com's.... a simple redirect would easily push us up tremendously.
Seriously, I have to scratch my head at this kind of thinking..
