Make no mistake, our Republican Party Leadership is working with the Democrats to overturn our Republican Form of Government guaranteed under Article 4, Section 4, of our Constitution, and as outlined under Article 1 of our written Constitution.

The plan is to undermine our representative form of government and have Establishment members of Congress hand selected and appointed to a committee to create legislation, which is then to be approved or disapproved with an up or down vote by the House and Senate, but in so doing, the plan circumvents the normal legislative process under which the American People’s immediate elected members of Congress are to have a say in the creation of said legislation.

This attack upon our representative form of government by the Republican Party Leadership is the same attack Obama used in the creation of Obamacare which was done behind closed doors, and was then allowed to be voted upon by Congress! If Tea Party Activists ever needed to rise to the occasion to save their system of government, and their country, this is it!

I don't know if this has any merit, but it is a peaceful approach.

Yea i will be honest the first time that i heard about the super congress thing one quote kept going through my mind.

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"

It seems like they are trying to make a second executive branch made of an oligarchy of 12 people (and this one can write laws).

Why are so many people asleep at the switch? Do they not realize what Boehner’s plan is intended to accomplish?

What Boehner and the rest of these slithering snakes are attempting to circumvent is our Constitution’s requirement that a Majority of each House is necessary to do Business! They want to replace this Majority requirement with the Establishment’s hand picked gang, who will then concoct legislation favorable to the Establishment, and thus deprive the people’s elected Senators and Representatives a voice in the creation of legislation. Those who are interested in why our founder’s decided upon a Majority to do Business need to study AUGUST 10TH OF THE CONVENTION, MADISON’S NOTES (http://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/debates_810.asp) e.g.

Col. MASON. This is a valuable & necessary part of the plan. In this extended Country, embracing so great a diversity of interests, it would be dangerous to the distant parts to allow a small number of members of the two Houses to make laws. The Central States could always take care to be on the Spot and by meeting earlier than the distant ones, or wearying their patience, and outstaying them, could carry such measures as they pleased. He admitted that inconveniences might spring from the secession of a small number: But he had also known good produced by an apprehension, of it. He had known a paper emission prevented by that cause in Virginia. He thought the Constitution as now moulded was founded on sound principles, and was disposed to put into it extensive powers. At the same time he wished to guard agst. abuses as much as possible. If the Legislature should be able to reduce the number at all, it might reduce it as low as it pleased & the U. States might be governed by a Juncto- A majority of the number which had been agreed on, was so few that he feared it would be made an objection agst. the plan.

You people had better wake up fast before our House and Senate becomes irrelevant and a small group of Washington Establishment hand picked thugs will be ruling the country from behind closed doors, just like Obamacare came into existence!

This is a subversive piece of legislation and those behind it need to be punished!

Yeah, this is not good. Somehow I doubt they'll pick Rand or Ron to be on the "special committee".

The Republican Party Leadership is working with Obama to help in fundamentally transforming our Constitutionally limited system of government, including its feature of having at a minimum a majority of the Senators and Representatives of the various States present to do business.

The transformation in this area is to replace the number required to do business with a handful of Washington Establishment insiders who will be making laws, which the Senate and House may then vote up or down on, but have been effectively remove from the process of the making of such law, which is the very reason for having a Congress of the united States!

This is a blatant act of tyranny taking place and our beloved media is giving thumbs up to this part of Obama’s fundamental transformation of our system of government and our Republican Party Leadership is complicit in the act!

Are you one of those people who think our system of government has worked just fine for the past 2 centuries, and then all of a sudden Obama came along and started messing with it?

I agree with johnwk. Regardless of how much it was screwed up before, this makes it much worse.

And you've been under the impression that we had a constitutionally limited, republican form of government all this time?

That's what it sounds like from your posts in this thread.

If you think Boehner is not a phony and working hand in hand with Obama, keep in mind that he backed the 72-hour review rule requiring all important legislation to be available on line three days before a Congressional vote on the bill, which he totally ignored in order to get this despotic piece of legislation passed.

SEE:Boehner Backs Mandatory 72 Hour Review on Legislation (http://www.johnboehner.com/blog/boehner-backs-mandatory-72-hour-review-legislation?p=23)

Like I said, Boehner and Obama are working hand in hand to circumvent our system of government and be able to pass legislation before the people can find out what’s in it.

This traitor needs to be punish along with his Republican/Democrat cohorts!

Of course he's a phony. So have all of the Republican leaders been since the 70's that you've been doing this (or rather, ever). You have never experienced life in a constitutionally limited republic. This is not some watershed moment. What you're seeing now is more of the only kind of government you've ever known.

We have a few vestiges of it left. We need to fight to protect them as hard as we fight to restore the rest.

I agree that things could definitely get worse and things could definitely get better, and it's good to work against the former and for the latter.

I guess the pattern I've seen so many times year after year of conservatives treating whatever the issue of the day happens to be as the single crisis that portends to tip America out of freedom and into tyranny has gotten to be one of my pet peeves. The struggle for freedom against unjust rulers has been a constant of human history in every time and place, and will continue to be a war that is neither fully won nor lost for the foreseeable future. If there was any golden age of the past to look back on, it was before Adam's sin, and if there's any golden age of the future to look forward to, it will be after Jesus' return.

I’ll bet there were many who were happy the way Obamacare came to be, by its making in a closed door room with a bunch of pinko Washington Establishment insiders, and was then allowed to be voted on up or down without members of Congress knowing what was in it, which is the same crap allowed under this newest piece of legislation which is intentionally designed to fundamentally transform America’s system of government and exclude the People’s Senators and Representatives of the various states from participating in the making of legislation. I hope their kids, if they have any, will be happy with their complicity in this attack upon our Constitutionally limited system of government.

Never let a crisis [the debt limit crisis] go to waste

Our only hope is for Senators Mike Lee, Paul, DeMint and a few others to filibuster this despotic attempt to transform America's system of government! Start making those calls!

America we have a problem! We have a group of DOMESTIC ENEMIES (http://republicmainstreet.wordpress.com/2010/11/11/members-of-the-congressional-progressive-caucus-is-your-representative-a-member/) who have managed to seize political power and whose mission is in fact to bring “change” to America ___ the dismantling of our military defensive power; the allowance of our borders to be overrun by foreign invaders, the diluting of our election process by allowing ineligible persons to vote; the destruction of our manufacturing capabilities; the transferring of America’s technology to hostile foreign nations; the strangulation of our agricultural industry and ability to produce food under the guise of environmental necessity; the destruction of our nation’s health care delivery system, the interference with our ability to develop our natural resources, namely oil, to fuel our economy; the looting of both our federal treasury and a mandatory retirement pension fund; the brainwashing of our nation’s children in government operated schools; the trashing of our nation’s traditions and moral values; the creation of an iron fisted control unauthorized by our written Constitution over America’s businesses and industries; the devaluation of our nation’s currency, and, the future enslavement of our children and grand children via unbridled debt and inflation, not to mention an iron fisted government which intends to rule their very lives!

It’s time to call Senators Mike Lee, Paul, DeMint and a few others and ask them to filibuster this despotic attempt to transform America's system of government, which would exclude the State‘s Representatives and Senators, a constitutionally mandated “majority“ [Article 1, Section 5], from the process of making legislation. Please, start making those calls!

The solution is to fight fire with fire. If the feds don't follow the constitution then the states dont have to follow their unconstitutional federal laws, nullify (http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/).
