Sorry about the double post. I already put this in the grassroots section. But it hasn't had many views. So, against my better judgment, I'm posting it here to.

I'm scheduled to donate tomorrow.
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthr...now-to-Aug.-13

I can't believe I'm doing this. But I want to inspire some of you to dig down a little deeper if you can.

My donation tomorrow will either be $100 or $500. And it's up to you to decide which it will be.

Right now, the funding of the Top Gun project is at $3,318. If it's at $4,000 or more by noon EST on tomorrow, Aug. 1, then I'll donate $500. If it's a penny less, I'll only donate $100. My donation will also go to the Top Gun project.

You don't have to post your donation info here if you don't want to (of course you can if you want). The basis of my donation will be the funding level shown for Top Gun on the projects website.

How often are the totals on that page updated? Does it happen instantly, or does someone at the campaign just update it as the mood hits them?

What we do overseas

Mr. Paul is the only one opposed to the IMF and the UN. That's what motivated me anyway. That there is actually a presidential candidate who has the balls to come out against these things, and not in a subtle manner, but rather with in-your-face tell-it-like-it-is approach. I've already given almost $600 to the iowa projects already, will probably give $150 tomorrow as a final donation before the straw poll

That's a good question.

I think I remember noticing once before when I donated to one that it had changed by the next time I checked.

Anybody want to test it and make sure?

If not, then maybe that will be the way I get off the hook.

I don't think they are updated automagically. It didn't seem they were on the last moneybomb date.

Less than half an hour to go, and still $232 away from 4k.

I'm thinking I might have dodged the bullet this time. I sold an ounce of gold in preparation for this. Now I'm already starting to think about all the other things I can spend the money on. There's still a little time if any of you want to do something about that.

I bet if somebody donated 100 now, somebody else would see how close it is and put it over the top.

but if I donate $100 now and it doesn't go over the top I don't get matched, but if I donate later I can do it in a way that gets matched. I will donate $100 if you agree to keep this open for another hour. :p

I'm torn. I can honestly say that I don't know which way I'd rather it go.

The more I think about it, these matching threads need to mean something if they're going to work. We can't have everybody thinking that the same amount will just get donated either way.

Plus, I didn't tell my wife I did this.

So I'm going to stick with the original terms.

And Top Gun is now at 3,868.

The matching is over. But consider this, if we can push it up to 6k, that will be equal to two trips to Iowa for RP.

Well, I don't blame you. But I had told myself I was going to get a match, too. So I am going to hold out for that.
