Next time someone says that, point this out.
Emperor Augustus lived until age 75 (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustus), very close to the age modern day Americans live to (77.7). He did so despite the fact that:
-He lived in a time where Pfiezer did not exist, and neither did prescription drugs of any kind.
-There was no flouride in the water in his time
-The only available milk in his time was raw milk
-There was no such thing as GMO foods in his time
-In his time, regulation of the food industry was lax at best. By today's standard it would be considered nonexistent.
Why is it again that we can't live without these things??
