Everyone get psyched about Nov. 5th. We're going to raise a ton of money and make this campaign even more unignorable than it already is.

Don't listen to the naysayers. Criticism has its place, but this horse left the barn long ago so now it's just counterproductive and trolling on details that are clearly unchangeable.

Remember the 5th of November!

hey, it's not cowardice, it's thinking about the consequences of your actions. It's unfair to smear those who have a different viewpoint than you.

That being said, V is gone from the website, it seems that some genius (http://dailypaul.com/node/5185#comment-34496) has already alerted all the major media outlets, so I says just enjoy the ride. If people are being honest about how much money they're giving, it'll be great.

I also hope the media connects Guy Fawkes and Ron Paul.

Critical mass will ensure that this fundraiser will continue (and succeed).

Whether there are any significant, uh...after-effects...remains to be seen. I'm sure a couple media sources and other cranks will try to use it to discredit Dr. Paul somehow, but I don't think it's going to stick. Just a guess.

What I find most amusing in all this is how many people (both here and in the MSM) seem to be terrified of anarchists and anarchy. I realize that some people associate 'anarchy' with chaos and disorder. But actual anarchists -- the people who advocate anarchy as an alternative to the heavy hand of government -- they view anarchy as follows (from dictionary.com):

"a theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principal mode of organized society."

Cooperative and voluntary association of inividuals and groups -- Ooooh, scary! :D

To be blunt, I believe the Founders' vision of freedom is a bit closer to this definition of anarchy, than to the tyranny we're approaching today.

The "naysayers" are pussies...we're going to raise at least $1 million that day, and possibly even break the online record ($3 million in one day)

When people think Anarchy, they think WTO demonstrators busting up a starbucks or a McDonald's.

Any Mike Doughty fans out there...?

Unfortunately, they're confusing 'socialists' for 'anarchists'.

I know, it sucks. All those asshats wearing the black screwed it up for real anarchists.

And when I think of the WTO protest, I think POLICE AGENTS provocateurs.
They caught some at the SPP protests in Canada.

Yes, that youtube was quite an eye-opener for me. Clear government false-flag attack caught on tape.

Wow, that genius that you are referring to just really screwed Ron Paul

I had to go Wiki "Fawkes" to even figure out what all of you were talking about. I'm sure there are many people who will not draw any connection.

Good grief there are only 365 days in a year and all kinds of sad historical events on every one of them.

The association isn't being drawn out of thin air. It isn't like it is a coincidence that the date was originally planned for the 5th. It was chosen because of Guy Fawkes and V for Vendetta.

The anarchists and V people have no concern for Paul's electability otherwise they would not being continually trying to derail his campaign. Time magazine has already picked up on it.

They risk having this play out as bad as when Buchanan was falsely accused of being a Nazi sympathizer and therefore subsequently derailing his campaign after New Hamsphire. In Pauls case I hope it does not play out the same way with the media accusing him of being an Anarchist due to these clowns dressing up-supporting this V association.

The V crew could very well enable a Guiliani vs Hillary in 2008.

Agreed. Some of the most immature rants were coming from the V-supporters.

too late now, funny thing is, is if it were on a spin-free holiday (like veteran's day) the grassroots response would not be as strong.

the typical wealthy white male libertarian intergeek ron paul supporter is jizzzing his dockers over the vendetta reference.

Ya,
I saw that video and I was so shocked. Things are getting so bad out there. There is a new terrifying police brutality incident every day, like the little girl who got her arm broke by the police security at her school because she dropped a piece of cake.

When I see things like this happening out there, it justs makes me want to get the Ron Paul message out there even more.
