If you haven't recently (last week or so) contacted your rep. and tell them NO increases in the debt ceiling. Let them know you aren't buying this fake hype about defaulting. Sure, it might be pointless; but hell it can be fun to burn off some angst and tell em anyways.

Call em or email em. If you already have done so in the past week; then get a friend or family member to do it.

Challenge extended. I just contacted my rep again and told them NO. And am working on getting my business partner to do it next. Then the MIL.

Go, Go, Go...

P.S. Remember they are YOUR employee, and its always fun to vent at your employees once and awhile.

I never got that request from my reps. Everything I'm seeing/hearing suggests that they're helping themselves to the money, per SOP. IIRC, they even gave themselves a pay increase not too long ago. (I don't know about you, but I've never been able to tell an employer I'm getting a pay raise whether he likes it or not ;) )

Well technically we can fire em if we don't like it. But yeah.....still I find it fun to call and vent. so do it for the lulz.

If you can't get through on the phone lines, it might be possible to send a fax. I use www.faxzero.com and usually have pretty good luck with it. The "free" fax is paid for via advertising on the cover sheet! :)

I've heard that letters and calls count for the most, followed by faxes. Emails, I've heard, are so easy that they're virtually disregarded by most offices.
