(excuse me mods, this is relevant)

What kind of impact can we have on the conversation surrounding #fuckyouwashington and #fyw on Twitter? It's trending pretty well at this moment:

Maybe not a directly Ron Paul message, because what we do should be a reflection of him, especially given that he's running for President at the moment. That said, this does present us with an opportunity we'd be foolish to take for granted.

A lot of it already sounds like Ron Paul's message! This is entertaining! Is this what having twitter looks like?

I hate Twitter, but it's things like this that make it useful occasionally. Also, remember the impact it had during the Mumbai attacks.

It is like looking at a straw poll result every minute! Fascinating!

The campaign should be researching this...

It's moved worldwide now and spawned things like #f*ckyouwestminster, etc. Crazy how it all works, but it makes sense. And then, maybe later today, --POOF-- it will fizzle out and people will move on, almost all at once. Some of these things stick around and become communities within the "Twitterverse," #tcot and #tlot, for instance. There are hundreds if not thousands of others, probably.

I don't have the patience to really use it, and beyond getting up-to-the-minute updates on what's happening, I don't quite get it. (Maybe I can stop refreshing Drudge, RPF, LRC and DP so much and just follow their Twitter pages.:D)

Since '07-'08, Meetup is now fairly useless, MySpace is dead, Facebook is the giant about to be slain by Google+ (long term), and Twitter has come about and exploded. Hmmm. FB, G+ and Twitter should be the new tools. Funny thing is that each has its own ethic, etiquette and value.

The reason why it's trending liberal, btw, is only because it started on HuffPo: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jeff-jarvis/anti-washington-sentiment-_b_908117.html

It can be swayed, and the conversation may get really interesting if we can get the libertarians and the neocon blogosphere in on the conversation. That's the debate we've always wanted. Think general election for Prez! It would definitely be an interesting test case, in that regard.

Watch out for using Ron's name with that hashtag, though.

Someone should just start posting the reasons given at the end of the declaration of independence.
