Already got called on this one, looking for thoughts. The Federal taxes expired and then ALL major airlines adopted a increase fares policy to increase profits.

Question posed to me "If every single airline just pockets the savings, when does the competitive model help drive down costs?"

Flying is one thing that has gotten gradually (and sometimes, in spurts, dramatically) less expensive over the years (unlike most other things like movie tickets, sports events, dining out, concerts, etc...)
