Would any Texans remember Ron's "Be Leery of Sneary" ad campaign from 1998?

That's a really great idea. If it was a well made, well timed ad it could end Perry's campaign before it gets started. Imagine the political respect Ron would get for skillfully attacking Perry. More people would see him as a major candidate, especially in Texas. With that said, the ad has to be first class to be effective.

If Ron Paul won't, the Revolution PAC should consider it.

Texas doesn't need it, we would be glad to get rid of this fraud.

Don't be so sure Perry won't need attacking in Texas. A couple months ago, he was at 4% in Texas polls. He's up to around 10% now in Texas, he's continuing to rise in polls nationally, and he hasn't even entered the race yet.

I agree, many evangelical Christians in Texas are jumping on the Perry bandwagon as if he were some kind of "Great White Hope". they will show up at his prayer event in August. they need to be told just what they are supporting because they are blinded by the hype and the veneer.

It would be nice to have anywhere, including Texas. This is also much like Mitch McConnell's "Don't get sheared by (Steve) Beshear" ad in 1996. Sure, it's McConnell, but the man knows how to make a negative campaign ad. I would be all for it, especially if Perry jumps to 1st or 2nd in the polls. Better if the PAC does it versus the person. No need for the good doctor to look like the mudslinger.

Agreed. But, at least Texans have some idea what they are supporting. Folks in Iowa and South Carolina have no idea at all. So, I would go after the latter, first.

That's a good point. Doesn't hurt the anti-Perry case that the Governor before him was George W. Bush. How'd that Texas Governor who chose Rick Perry as his running mate work out? I'm sure there's an ad in there somewhere.
