View Full Version : As true supporters, we have our eyes on the white house...

We are painfully aware of the challenges, yet we fight with a ferocity only matched by other out numbered revolutionaries through out history. These battles don't always result in victory, or an immediate victory... but the battles themselves are a victory in a sense, because it reminds our oppressors that we're not going away. We keep them predictable.

In 2008 the Ron Paul campaign generated a lot of emotions. More hope than any Obama supporter could comprehend. Anger. Excitement. Think back to the feelings coursing through us when we donated over 6 million dollars in one day. The blimp. Every small victory. Spamming the polls just to get Ron Paul's name mentioned on a network. The incredibly inspirational youtube videos.

The American people weren't ready for that message. Republicans were still hypnotized by the terrorist-fighting Neocon. Democrats are almost universally hypnotized by the entitlement system. There wasn't a place for this weird "liberty" thing. Regardless, in 2008 we fought for the white house, and we fought hard.

In 2012 we are still fighting, but we learned something in 2008. We're in this for the long haul. Yes, we want the white house now. We want to slap every American in the damn face and shake them until they are willing to see the truth. But deep inside we know one important fundamental fact, which is also our greatest victory, regardless who ends up being president in 2012; To win, we must change the hearts and minds of Americans.

That particular war is still in the making, but it has made progress. Rand Paul is in the Senate, using charm and wit to climb to the most respected ranks in the GOP. Peter Schiff, Tom Woods, Stefan Molyneux, Adam Kokesh and others have become even more reputable or recognizable symbols of liberty. With the campaign for liberty we have a Liberty "hub" where we can filter out bad representatives, and hold our current reps accountable at the click of a button. Even major networks are reeling, trying desperately to keep their audience who is finding more accurate, more honest news on the internet. This war is so fresh and so young, yet we know (because we're watching and listening) that it has hit, and hit really hard. Most Americans don't see it yet. Most Americans think the Tea Party is the brainchild of Sean Hannity, but there's something in the air and everyone feels it. No one feels it more than the establishment does. And our allies are emboldened every day. Anonymous, Wikileaks, and others have come out of the woodwork since 2008 and become national headline making figures.

We're hoping for a tipping point. We're hoping that apathy will give way to hope with a tsunami of common sense, which will put Ron Paul on a podium next to Obama. We all know that one on one, that much potent common sense can not be ignored when contrasted to the belligerent bullshitery of Obama. He would become out president.

And many of us feel that it's now or never. That we HAVE to get Ron Paul in the white house to stop the immediate bleeding, or Liberty will die. That sense of urgency is warranted and understood by all of us. But it's not completely true.

We've already changed the winds. We've already shaken things up. We've already redirected people's focus (even if they don't know why or how it happened). And it's because of the effort we are in it for the long haul. If we had given up in 2008 once it became clear that Ron Paul wasn't going to be the next president none of the positive outcomes mentioned above would have occurred. But they did.

If Liberty is a flame, it is brighter now than it was in 2008.

We must always keep that flame alive, no matter what our particular mission is, or who our favorite candidate is. Ron Paul isn't going to be alive when I'm bald and gray. Rand Paul may be, but there's no guarantee he will be or that he'll be in public service. It is and always has been about the message.

GUT CHECK: Do YOU have your eyes on the message? Are you spreading the message? Are you actually a part of the fight or just a cheer leader? Here's some more painful truth: That flame of liberty depends on your activity. You can make that flame grow. You can wake people up. YOU can get Ron Paul in the white house. Ultimately though, it will be you who keeps liberty alive in 2012 and beyond, if you want it. Our founders warned their predecessors that without vigilance Liberty would fade. Are we truly part of a revolution? If so, we need to stay vigilant. We need to stay active, hell, we need to double our efforts. Spread the message.

No matter what happens in 2012, don't take your eye off the message. If Ron Paul wins we may become complacent. If he loses we may become discouraged. We can NOT allow this to happen!!!
