Today, two more nh papers have announced our event

Meanwhile, area Paul supporters plan a "pub crawl" in downtown Manchester on Saturday night to promote a Paul-sponsored bill to exempt tips from federal and payroll taxes.

The "crawl" begins at 7 p.m. at Margaritas with stops slated for Shaskeen, Penuche's Grill, Strange Brew and McGarvey's.

The promoters say the crawl "is not affiliated with the official campaign."

Ron Paul backers plan bar crawl

SUPPORTERS OF PRESIDENTIAL candidate Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas are spreading the word about a piece of legislation, one drink at a time.

The text of H.R. 1139 reads dryly that it seeks to rewrite portions of the Internal Revenue Code. In shorthand, it would exempt tips patrons pay bartenders, valets and wait staff, among other jobs, from income and employment taxes.

Paul proposed the bill in March; since then, it's been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee but hasn't been the subject of a hearing.

To promote the bill, and their candidate, a group of Paul supporters have organized a pub crawl around Manchester for Saturday, beginning with dinner at 7 p.m. at Margarita's Mexican Restaurant on Elm Street.

From there, the group plans to stop at The Shaskeen, also on Elm Street, at 8:45 p.m., Penuche's Grill on Hanover Street, Strange Brew Tavern on Market Street and end back on Elm Street at McGarvey's.

The pub crawl is not affiliated with the official campaign but is scheduled to occur immediately following campaign workers' door knocking efforts in Nashua, according to a news release.

The group has set up an event page on Facebook.

This is a nice snippet from the top article as well

ON THE RON PAUL FRONT. Paul yesterday announced he's being supported by long-time GOP activist Mark Aldrich, a former chief of staff to former U.S. Sens. Bob Smith and Gordon Humphrey.

Aldrich, who was a Merrimack County campaign co-chair for Rudy Giuliani four years ago, says Paul "was right on the housing crisis, right on the banking crisis, and he is right on fiscal policy, deficit spending and national defense."

Paul last week became the first candidate to air a television ad in New Hampshire. It touted his "conviction" to principle, as opposed to the willingness to compromise on fiscal issues by past Republican Presidents.

Hmmm... I'm not 100% sure I like the sound of that last part. How UN-receptive were the less-receptive ones?

We went on a Saturday night

Some of the places were so busy the bartenders didn't seem to have time to listen
