Most websites that sell something will give you the option to enter info on who you were referred by. The campaign could use this information to encourage people to spread the message and to get new donors involved. At the end of each quarter, they could publish a list of individuals ("Top 10") who recruited the most new donors, or who raised the most money from new donors, in that quarter. This offers an incentive to expand the donor base, and also introduces an element of competition that could help energize people.

It's not a bad idea at all and could be tracked by using an affiliate program software that would give us special links to share that would track who sent who to the website. The GOP at one point actually offered like 5% to people who referred donations through an affiliate program. Considering most fundraising companies charge from 10%-20% for this same service, it makes sense and seems to be completely legit and legal. Think about it, people could run ads and actually make a little money for helping the campaign raise more money. It's the ultimate free market donation system.

We could offer a lunch with Ron, signed books, something like that. I think it would really encourage people.

^ I like that idea. Friendly competition is always good, and it surely would encourage many to get out and spread the word.
