I'm gearing up for a long road trip, making it to four different fairs in Iowa. These fairs are huge- altogether, estimated attendance is over 250,000! If you have some time, I urge you to make one of these or the other fairs that people are working on!

Mahaska County Fair (http://www.southerniowafair.com/)-7/18-7/24; Att: 20,000
I'm only going to be here for one day to meet with the Mahaska County Republicans. I plan on leaving them some slim jims for the rest of the fair, then heading to Jones County.

Great Jones County Fair (www.greatjonescountyfair.com)-7/19-7/24; Att: 100,000
Also going to meet with the Jones County Republicans. This is a huge fair with major rock bands and country artists to bring big crowds. Should be some great exposure!

Plymouth County Fair (www.plymouthcountyfair.org)-7/27-7/31; Att: 93,500
This booth will be Ron Paul specific! I will also get relief by staying with a fellow supporter instead of camping in the van :p. Huge fair, big opportunity!

Woodbury County Fair (www.woodburycountyfair.com)-8/3-8/7; Att: 55,000
Another Ron Paul specific booth, big fair, and great chance to spread the message.

If you're feeling charitable, I'm setting up a CHIPIN (http://going2srlc2011.chipin.com/county-fairs-ron-paul-2012) for gas money. I promise not to blow it all on funnel cakes and corn dogs ;). I first stop in Ankeny to pick up supplies at campaign headquarters, so my route looks like this (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Council+Bluffs,+IA&daddr=Ankeny,+IA+to:Oskaloosa,+IA+to:Iowa+City,+IA +to:42.44904,-93.69558+to:Sioux+City,+IA+to:Moville,+IA&hl=en&geocode=FXibdQIdn0dJ-ikvMgmhz4GThzGeeSJS-oFOvg%3BFcuyfAIdubZr-inJf9HxE4XuhzHs3DXV5w6whQ%3BFUEYdgIdpFt6-in7WEFRoE3vhzFm4X_5Gf3iOg%3BFciyewIdSFyL-ikXiCBqwUHkhzGwggWHZxhxbQ%3BFZC4hwIdpFFq-inHxuFnCQHuhzEO7YFJippPPA%3BFZp_iAIdTQxB-ikJUm1HNnmShzGMTGieywqYIQ%3BFTFUiAIduQxG-in1BrWyyoyNhzEKzRRc0zo8zg&mra=ltm&via=4&sll=41.498293,-93.534851&sspn=1.754683,4.22699&ie=UTF8&ll=41.8941,-93.823242&spn=3.487703,8.453979&z=8&layer=c&ei=erQlTviSO6LEywSw-ID4Bw&pw=2).

The Shelby County Fair (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?303671-Report-from-Shelby-County-Fair) last week went very well, and the booth there looked like this:

Woodbury ends Aug. 7th, then the Iowa State Fair begins Aug. 11th, same day as the presidential debate in Ames. I'll probably help the Iowa Republicans at the Iowa State Fair rather than attending the Ames Straw Poll (I'm out of state and can't vote). They have offered us a part of their booth to promote Ron at the biggest fair in the state.

I hit the road today! Without a smartphone, updates will be infrequent, but I'll be here whenever I can find free wifi :)

Call me if you feel like helping, I could use the help on ANY of the days posted- 4074128645.

Excellent work!

Not sure what your tablign technique is, but you should be in front of your table, not behind it. It is much more inviting and conducive to speaking with people.

Are you collecting information from anybody? Name/Phone/Email/address/issues? In order to contact supporters later?
