I just heard it on news Romney only raised 2.4 million in one day. They said he included all the money he got leading up to it. Much of it is only pledges they said, so not money in the bank.

Ron Paul still holds the one day total of more than double what Romney did in a day.

It's interesting to know that Romney mislead everyone to make himself look good. Now he looks even worse to me (if that is possible.)

Unfortunately, Obama seems much better than anyone else at getting a lot of money in a day or two.

The "news" had to get the figures from someone...

CNN called him out today: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/18/a-look-at-mitt-romneys-10-million-day/

At this point it seems like they are splitting hairs but it was not truthful for the "media" to report a "$10 million day" if in fact he hadn't received $10M. MSM and Mitt Romney not being truthful and honest? For some reason, I'm not surprised. :(

We should email bomb the networks until they do an on air change to the graphs, headlines, and stories. Like Morning Joe, they should have to show the false graph(s), then show the real graphs, and explain Ron won in funding, and that Romney only really raised X, of which Y is cash on hand, and Z are just pledges. Then they should spend 5-10 seconds scolding Romney's campaign, and apologizing the the Ron Paul campaign themselves.

Romney is a true politician for sure.

Ron Paul talks about the "Nobel Lie" in "Liberty Defined."

Romney lies --- less money bomb than Ron Paul

Romney lies --- ( time magazine ) less support from America than Ron Paul

This seems like a technical detail, especially since it doesn't change the fact that he did far out-raise all the other Republican candidates with well over $10 million total. Ultimately, he did find enough people with enough money that he was able to raise $10 million from them. Whether or not it arrived at his campaign's office on the same day or was simply promised within the range of a few days seems to be a pretty trivial distinction.

...Except from a marketing perspective I guess. He tried to spin it as positively as he could. We, on the other hand, would like to spin it as negatively as we can. Either way it is spin. I'd rather it just be what it is.
