There are people there who hate Ron with a passion. So they want to minimize any strong showing he has. Big deal, these guys are pulling for Perry, a clear loser.

This inspired my latest status update

The Mainstream Media (both traditional and new) gave us McCain as the nominee against Obama. Think about that... Are YOU going to let that happen again, and ensure four more years of Obama - Do you own research! Only Paul can swing the critical center to unseat Obama - Think about it. Thanks

They don't mention that Bachmann is subsidizing the full $30 for tickets.

So is Cain. I'm sure Pawlenty is too.

So what? Redstate Perry lovers are not going to ever say something nice about Ron Paul.

Perry is a globalist. Ron is an antidote. They enjoy the disease.

A Paul win will turn the race on its head and will surely bring Sarah Palin and Rudy Giuliani in as candidates.

That made LoL.

So does this:

Red State Alexa ranking - 12,750

Info Wars Alexa ranking - 1,943

So if the standard is Ron Paul and Ron Paul wins Ames, does that mean that EVERYBODY but him is a flash in the pan?

Dude, guys, this isn't an insult. This his affirmation that our win is everybody's demise! I'm bookmarking this...;)

Don't try to legitimize redstate. Bypass them and limit their web traffic. Who cares what Michelle Malkin says? Red State is her rag and we just néed to ignore it and let the traffic fall down.concentrate on more important sites. That demographic is purely psychotic and won't be reasoned with. They must learn from life experience and will not accept literate arguments

If you say anything just say that their days are numbered and that justice is on it way.

"there will be winners, losers, and Ron Paul."

Purgatory Paul, you can't win by having an honest intellectual debate, and you can't lose by continue to lead the army of ignorance.

The only hope for non Paul supporters is that the rest of America is as blind as they are willing to be.

By trying to delegitimize him, they did the opposite. Undecideds who stumble on to that piece might look at it and ask, "Why is Ron Paul's loss or win the big issue? Just who is this guy?"

So that means the only thing Ron Paul has to fear is Bachmann or Pawlenty winning. If he beats them then (based on this article) Romney and Huntsman are are only real competition because the others with fade away. I doubt Mr. 9-11 will enter and I am still undecided about Palin but I doubt she could win the primary once she actually had to debate someone.

If you listen closely to those inside the beltway, they are saying:

1. That no one is happy with the republican presidential field
because
2. the tea party has hi-jacked the republican party and pulling it to the extreme right
therefore
3. A lot of gop money is sitting on the sidelines
Solution
4. perry or someone else might get in the race

There is definitely an implicit "build up" to someone getting into the race to save the gop...they tried Huntsman, but he fell flat.

That article only legitimized Ron Paul's candidacy for the Republican nomination. The obvious bias against Paul and the unwitting legitimization of him by ardent opponents bodes well for his chances.

Sometimes my anti-State sentiments subside when I read or hear the complete stupidity of people. We deserve every power-grabbing, statist Republicrat we get in our State governments, Congress and White House.

If the so-called conservatives really wanted limited government, they'd at least stop marginalizing Ron Paul and place him, at the very least, on par with Bachmann, Palin and others.

Maybe government isn't really our biggest enemy. Maybe our own neighbors are for failing to recognize an American statesman, and even worse, insulting him.

I saw an element of good news in it, in that at least they are presuming Ron to do well at Ames. The rest of what they're implying - that wherever he places, he's still a loser, and that he's basically the measuring bar for the other losers - is, as I said before, just childish, schoolyard antics.

Palin knows that Bachmann won't be able to get to the primaries, I'd be very surprised if she didn't get in. If they're saying they're all dead on the tea party side except for us if we win, what do we have to worry about. Palin. And I really think that people need to know more about Perry like Bilderberg is "sure a sign that he's very much involved in the international conspiracy" - Ron Paul.

If we're going to look at the other candidates, I think we should look at the one who is in the "international conspiracy"

Ignore Red State. The site is dead. They tried to create a conservative version of the Daily Kos but it flopped miserably. They copied the format and everything.

Hot Air is the center of the conservative blogosphere universe. That site probably gets more hits in a minute than RedState gets in a day. Unfortunately it's so popular that they limit commenter registration to 2 days per year. I was able to register a year ago and recently started commenting. I'll post a thread on here when I see the next registration day so hopefully a number of Paul supporters can get in.

Bachmann is predicted to win Ames. If she comes in 2nd, her campaign will take a serious body blow. If she loses to Ron Paul, her campaign will be seen as a flash in the pan and voters will move on to “the next best thing”. Cain and Pawlenty (who both used to be “the next best thing”) have the most to both gain or lose. If either finishes behind Ron Paul, they will join Gingrich and Johnson on the list of campaigns that are goners. Santorum and McCotter will almost surely lose to Paul and will be out of the race and off the podium in future debates.

Basically, they're saying "if you lose to Ron Paul you should drop out." This is a sign of RESPECT; they realize these things:

1) Ron has a chance to win Ames
2) Ron will probably place in the top three
3) If a candidate doesn't have as much support as Ron, they won't get a good enough boost to compete in the primaries & caucuses.

I'd go as far as to say that this is a soft admission that RP is a frontrunner.

Eric21ND

They obvious don't know much about Ron Paul or his polling strength with independent voters. Independent voters are Ron's bread n butter. He cleans house with indies when compared to any other republican and even beats Obama. Whoever wins the independent vote wins the Presidency.

If Ron is the nominee, independents will flock to him in droves. It's basically his election to lose at that point. Not only that, but Ron's presence will throw a lot of blue democratic states into contention. Places where a "typical" republican wouldn't have a prayer in competing in. Ron being the nominee turns 10 blue states into purple state status.
