more on what happened with the anti-groping legislation in Texas, from Rep David Simpson, the author of the bill:
'Here is a good review of what happened to the anti-groping bill. I would add that soon after filing the legislation in March, when I first began to solicit coauthors for HB 1937, the Speaker's Chief of Staff told two freshmen that "This legislation was not going anywhere and that the Governor did not support it." '
