Isn't Matt Collins the campaign's "technology consultant" ???
Someone tell him. :collins:

same reason he prefers blackberry to the iphone- he isn't a sellout.

They closed off new membership for google plus. It is just the beta version.

Bottom left section, "Have Newt in circles (2080)", third friend over from the left.

Because it has even worse invasion of privacy policies than facebook maybe?

I know I'm sure not on google+

By the way, did you notice the bankrupt Gingrich campaign spent $500,000 on technology and web hosting in the last quarter, and Ron spent $1600?

Privacy for a campaign is a moot point. Campaign should be on every single last possible social media site there is!!

I have permanent invites, however there isn't a target for Ron on Google+ that isn't on Twitter/Facebook already.

Like I said, EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA SITE OUT THERE!!! It's so easy to post automatically post to it and set it up that there's no reason to not start building a base of support on every site.

looks kinda like facebook and myspace had a baby. what ground does google intend to break with this service? seems like duplication of functionality to me.

Competition is good. Lots of people don't like Facebook. Even more people don't like MySpace. The campaign should be on Google+. It's a no-brainer.

I meant his supporters might not join it. Note the relative reluctance at facebook.

I hate facebook. But the REASON I hate facebook is the invasion of privacy policies, and Google + may even be worse.

However, it can be wherever it wants. But if it gets on and has no 'circles' or whatever passes for likes, you will know why.

I agree and I know people that are really excited about their Google+ account and thinking about quitting Facebook. But Ron Paul doesn't have a serious Facebook page, either so...

It looks like a fake account. It doesn't have the correct line "Ron Paul for 2012 PAC." The location is wrong. There are no videos. There are no posts.

Definitely a fake... plus, no such PAC exists.

oh, and that account is "following" newt gingrich. I'm not sure Ron's official google+ page would follow Newt.

who cares? Less than 1% of people are even on there.

If it becomes big then sure. For now you might as well be asking "why is Ron Paul not on Friendster?"

My rumor to pass along is that the campaign has applied for a Goole+ 'group page'

It had 10 million people around a week ago. I'm not sure how big it is now but my guess is if it continues to grow it could be 40+ million by the time the NH GOP Primary comes around.
