I had four large Ron Paul signs to hang up in Cincinnati, so I went up to the top of Mt. Adams just east of Downtown.

There was a catwalk over Columbia Parkway that many people drive underneath on the way to Downtown.

The wind was strong so I put this banner on the far side of the catwalk.

The sign could still be seen from the parkway.

This scenic vista was in the film Rain Man, where Tom Cruise drove his Buick Roadmaster towards downtown.

I hung another sign (not pictured) in the opposite direction for people going west.

Then I went to the other side of Mt. Adams and set up two more signs. These were placed over Interstate 71. A prime location.

The banners were tied down really well to thwart the strong winds.

I will move each of these four banners to a new location every day. Over the next several months, my goal is for hundreds of thousands of people to see these signs!

Did you put a "Google Ron Paul" sign on an overpass going over I-71? If so I saw it today.

You do great work sir, I salute you!

Just like the right wing media say to the military - "Thank you for your service!"

Nice work; have you put any holes in the signs to allow the wind to go through them?

I didn't do that one. A member of my Meetup group has made 30 signs! That might be one of his.

Good idea, I will do that!

Signs are gold (no pun intended:) We have put three BIG signs up, one on a highway sound barrier fence, one on a barn and one on a business on Main St. in a city nearby. In addition, we've placed probably 10 plywood signs varying from 4 x 4 to 4 x 8' around our part of Wisconsin. Our meetup holds overpass banners like crazy and we've handed out over 100 yard signs.

People ALWAYS tell me... "I see these signs..." "I see these people on the overpasses... "

It does work so kudos to you guys out in the northwest!

Great work there - the signs look awesome (and everyone else who has mentioned what they've put up). The signs work, no question, and thanks to Jay Leno several million more people will know what they're about. In terms of grass-roots action, Rudy, Romney and Thompson aren't even close to Ron Paul - I get the feeling they will be humiliated soon.

Remember how Ron Paul points out that Republicans won on a platform of non-intervention in 2000. It's true. The other Repulbican candidates, every single other one are on the wrong side of history - and the wrong side of Republican voters. Interventionists were wrong about Vietnam and they are about Iraq. Who would vote to re-start the war in Vietman?? That's what Rudy, Romney and Thompson are effectively campaigning for.

Long-time lurker, first time poster.

I'm a student in the Greater Cincy Metro area, and all of my friends know I'm a RP fanatic. Anyway, one of them just mentioned these signs to me today, so you're doing great work! I was ecstatic to hear about other RP peeps in Cincy/NKY (I feel KY is a little behind in the primary process because ours isn't until May and we have an election for governor next week - hard to get people around here pumped this far ahead).

Regardless, great work!

P.S., I'm a runner (about 3/4 times a week). I honestly don't have the time to just stand out near a major road with a sign but have considered running with a RP flag of some sort....any thoughts? Stupid? Good?

The Ron Paul flag idea sounds interesting. I think you should try it!

Or just a R[3VOL]UTION t-shirt... depends how fast you can run with a flag ;) ... and if you run 3 - 4 x per week you must be pretty serious - how about a sponsored run, funds going to secure liberty via Ron Paul :)

Yeah, I thought about the shirt thing....but it will be so easy to not even notice. If you see somebody with a flag or something, much more eye catching. I don't even know if I can run with a flag but would be interested in trying. I ran XC in high school and college, so I'm not awful.

I wouldn't even know how to get a sponsored run started :)

Welcome! Have you considered buying a number of Ron Paul shirts, etc., to wear while you run?

When you pass people, run a few yards directly in front of them for a while!

If you have a running partner that would probably be a good way to carry a flag...

Running for Ron Paul sounds very simple but I get the feeling people would notice.

Those highway signs are awesome! And the fact that you can "rescue" them every day and move them to a new spot is SWEET! You're doing a great service to the country.

And bew2005, I think you could add reflective tape to your shirt/jersey that says RON PAUL 2008, especially if you run at night. (or stick it to a stiff type of sign and pin it to your shirt)

Great work everybody!

Great job! Both to the original poster and the others who mentioned their efforts.

Re: The Running Idea
I also run about 5 times a week and have thought about this a lot recently. I was thinking about starting a group called The Ron Paul Runners, with the idea being that anyone nation-wide who wanted to participate would just wear Ron Paul shirts when they went for a jog. As runners we cover so much ground... it would be like thousands of moving billboards.

After the primary we could have shirts that said:
Ron Paul Runners
We Dominate "Hill's"

I like this. I originally was going to do the flag thing, but I'm not sure I could carry it for several miles (hey, I'm a runner ;p). A shirt that was easily visible (does that mean tight?) is probably the way to go. I already have one, but it's like a billboard on me, so I'll have to buy a couple more.

I like the group idea, too!

Nice work on the signs.

- And I'd be interested in joining the running group too! I was just thinking about something like that today.

I like this idea too! We could organize group runs, and one guy can lead bearing the flag! XD
