Please post your confirmation number with amount donated! Let's keep an entire track of RPF donations sent to the campaign!

I think we should set a goal of $100,000 donated from this board alone! That seems high, but it feels people are going all-in!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUNIeOB0whI

Good luck! Let's have another historic day on the boards! :)

I think that we should try to have a big start having everyone donate at the beginning.... If everyone goes all-in at 12 am then we might hit the news cycle because we are off to such a great start. Everyone donate at 12 am.

Concur. I am donating $50 at 12am.

Which is sadly $30.97 less than what was stolen out of my paycheck this week by the Government thugs.

We need to do a better job promoting this moneybomb around the Internet than we did for the last one. Be sure to mention it in comment threads at places like Reason, Hot Air, and other websites than may be read by potential supporters. I hardly saw the last moneybomb mentioned anywhere but on websites specifically devoted to Ron Paul.

I hope we can make the $500,000 goal on the website or the media will likely through it back in our faces that we came up short, even though RP is well ahead of 2008's funding pace. The end of quarter push was a big multiday funding event that drained a lot of folks, but still $500,000 needs ot be doable.

After work I will pick up the stuff I need from the RP2012 Store.

I don't post a lot but I thought I'd chime in with my opinion.

I personally believe there have been too many money bombs. I've already donated to 3 of them so far for this campaign. It seems that so many events have had the "money bomb" element that many people are kind of getting tired of them. Especially so close together.

Remember the 08 campaign. RP had 2 massive ones. Once on November 5th, the next on the Boston Tea Party anniversary. Now it seems like they are going off for every single event. Somebody sneezes, money bomb. Somebody cuts the cheese, money bomb. Debate - moneybomb. Straw poll - money bomb.

But its not just about being sick of money bombs, its also about running out of money. Most politicians are bought out by corporations that get massive donations from these institutions. Ron Paul gets donations from individuals. Many times small $5 and $10 donations.

The numbers won't be staggering unless a money bomb can be done at least two months out and VERY well organized. Do it on a special date.

Well I'm just putting in my .02, and am about to go donate for the fourth time in the last 2-3 months. But I'd suggest get a real good date next time. Make YT videos about the money bomb, and promote it as much as possible.

Just say the ticker say: Recent Donor: Mitt Romney. Endorsement? lulz :)

I saw that too! Can someone get in trouble with the FEC if they don't put their real name for a donation? Or does the campaign have to track down who really made the donation to file the official report. I am assuming this isn't another Mitt Romney and a RP supporter being funny.

I don't understand, this has been promoted for over a month (unlike the very successful 'legalize gold & silver moneybomb' which was promoted for less than a week) and we're on track to fail! I've donated twice now because I don't want that to happen, but only ~170k this late in the day? Something is wrong...

I agree with what was said before about having too many moneybombs, but I would also like to suggest that lowering the goal has totally backfired on us. Just some things to consider, hopefully it'll pick up... it has to.

Everyone needs to relax, it's only noon. The people that have money to donate are likely at work and the big push always comes after 4pm est. Plus the west coasters just checked in to the office. We're doing fine. The last thing we need is for negative nancy talk so those that stroll through later are put off from throwing down.

I agree. Not totally negative. Just have this feeling there are many people, mostly new supporters who don't yet understand that WE are the only ones Ron gets donations from. They are used to supporting establishment candidates how always seem to have $$. Its just frustrating.

Also frustrating that I'm locked into paying the State of New Jersey most of my $$ and can only give $20 this time around. Fucking crooks.

Romney is funded by Wall Street. If America wants to end this corporatist madness, they need to step up and support Ron Paul, because corporate America isn't going to fund a statesman who won't give them favors.

All of this money so early in the election is great!!! We are going to win Ames thanks to this, and dont worry the money will come in the fall. We needed these money bombs, I know its hard but it is a lot of money early in the campaign. 5 million x 5 = 25 million

I'm maxed out now. All in, just like Ron.

The campaign will need to attract new donors for future money bombs. The reason there have been so many moneybombs this early on, announced by the campaign, is because THE CAMPAIGN NEEDS THE MONEY NOW. So I'm guessing their goal is to encourage all existing supporters to max out now, and they'll take care of attracting new donors.

Remember that in 07-08 the campaign wasn't even aware of our money bombs until they started happening. Now Ron's email is sending out announcements of all money bombs.

Guys we are doing relatively well in the grand scheme of things. Things didn't really start heating up money-wise until late fall/winter. The general public is just now starting to get tuned into the Presidential race again. The great thing about Paul donors is that the vast majority haven't maxed out, many give in 50-100 dollar increments, so we are a fund raising source throughout the year essentially. Even more people will join us once they see this is serious effort and we can win this thing. Again, we need a strong showing at Ames.

Okay guys, let's keep it positive and keep it going.

I will match the next 5 people who donate $20.12. This is your chance to double your money. Just donate $20.12 and post your transaction details here and I will match that amount for the first 5 people to post.

I know money is tight. It definitely is for me. Back in 2007, I donated $500 each for the November and December money bombs. But now, I haven't been working for a year and a half and the economy is in much worse shape. BUT, that's all the more reason to dig deep and donate to Ron Paul. Think about how much worse off we're going to be if he doesn't get elected...

We can do this thing!

Might be the wrong place to post this. But the idea that Obama did of $5 for dinner is a AMAZING idea for Ron Paul. Can someone with some clout with the campaign shoot them the idea? Think about it, how many $5 donations would you make for a chance to have lunch/dinner with the doctor?

if the campaign grows at the rate it did last time once the election gets nearer and the less-intense supporters come out.... we'll have a 10mil moneybomb before it's said and done. december 2011 will be the time to judge progress.

Excellent list you got there. Our top 10 fund raising days were all November or later. We're essentially 5 months ahead of schedule. We didn't even have a million dollar day until November in 2007!!!

I think the issue last time was that we didn't have the money early enough. We can't wait until November or December to fundraise, although we'll still need to do so. We need the big bucks, NOW. It sure would be good to have a ten million dollar day in August or September and start the big ad campaigns by October. By November we need the bundlers on OUR side.

because thats only on track for half of what we raised on the other two bombs which had less build up time, not to mention how much less it is than the 2007 bombs

Its early in the season, there were no successful moneybombs this early in 2007. We are a couple million dollars ahead of last time at this point, something like 50% better.

No kidding! Let's put this in perspective. Raising 500k was our 5th highest day for the 2008 campaign....5th highest!!! And we did that way late on Nov 30th. We're raising 500k in July.

okay, just a little disappointed thats all, im excited that we have this much but i expected more. oh well. compared to other candidates we're hanging in there but i think unfortunately for ron to tip any scales that are weighed against him (which they are, considering media and everything else) he needs to raise hand over fist more than the rest of the field (with the exception of romney)

WE WILL WIN. We've got the pretenders on the ropes. One RP dollar is worth 20 of theirs... because WE are the rEVOLution, RP is the friggin' gold standard, and they are just worthless FRNs.

All of Mitten's money and all of Mitten's rich friends are going to watch him lose again. Bachmann, bless her heart, is passing out from the stress. Cain is so confused I feel sorry for him. And the twins (Pawlenty/Santorum)... well, I can't friggin' tell them apart anyway.

Paul is it. He's the GOP's only hope for POTUS, liberty's only hope for POTUS and the frontrunner all day long.

sry, just got pumped up.

because it has such a large sample size, and its only for local Iowans. Should have 10,000 + attendees

c'mon people are ya'll really donating? I was thinking only $100 today but decided to go an additional $200 IN DEBT for this man! Use the bankers system against them! Go and apply for a 0% interest credit card offer and use it to donate. Its their loss because you repay them with inflated dollars.

Because the Iowa GOP makes a killing from ticket sales. RP already gave them 31k just to rent a piece of land for a day.

That and the (what many including myself thought to be a good idea) lowering of the goal from 2 million to 500 thousand dollars has totally backfired. I suggest we withhold anymore moneybombs until the Fall. Only one more before the Tea Party 2011 moneybomb which is going to be HUGE.

December 16th wont mean SHIT! We need money, NOW!
