So the Leno exposure was, hands down, awesome for the doc. What do we need to do to get him on Letterman now? I know there have been a few threads about it, but if we could get this to happen soon... a 1,2 media punch....

Yeah and Letterman agrees with him on Iraq, watch the interview he did with Bill O'Reilly. His stance seems to be right with Paul's.

I'm sure we can get him on!

Didn't letterman endorse Paul in 1988? Hopefully they're still on the same page. :)

I emailed http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/contact/ several weeks ago.
Maybe someone should email them again and mention the long line for tickets on Jay Leno? If nothing else, CBS would care about their ratings...
“the only guests to have this many people outside hoping to get a ticket were George Clooney, Justin Timberlake, and the kid from Harry Potter. Possibly the longest line for tickets in Tonight Show history, at the least in recent memory.”

Lew Rockwell mentioned that he might post pictures later, I haven't seen pictures on other websites yet.

If it's true that Leno had 11 million viewers last night, when it typically gets 5.8, I'd guess that Ron Paul is on lots of shows hit lists. Granted, it was a pretty stacked show but I think a significant portion were Paul supporters.

Letterman next hopefully.

I have always thought of letterman as being more progressive (not the PC type of progressive), than Leno, and have always assumed that it meant a slightly different audience. But when I talked with some conservative family and friends (who we need to get to if we are gonna get better in the polls) they said they watched Letterman.

People were giving bogus information. They had correct stats but did not know how to read them properly.

Letterman would be awesome and would cover the entire late night show crowd. I am ready to see it already.

So I have read the disclaimer on their "feedback" page. It states:

When submitting your feedback, please do not submit any story, plot or character ideas, or any copyrightable material whatsoever relating to any CBS television program, or any ideas or suggestions for new television programs ("Unsolicited Ideas"). CBS's policy is to discard all Unsolicited Ideas.

So it appears that we will need to determine Mr. Letterman's personal email address and submit our request there :)

How is Ron Paul a character idea? We just want to request him to be on Letterman. I think you maybe interpreting this wrong.

When I think of all the Letterman shows I have seen, I cannot relate the term "character" to anything on the show other than guests. Maybe I am wrong, but it may be the reason our email campaigns in the past have been unsuccessful.

Wow, Letterman voted Paul in '88? Awesome.

Paul said part of the reason he got on Leno was cause of us. Same with the Daily Show. I think it is worth a try...

Letterman these days supports Kucinich if I remember right.

Oh boy. Here they go, starting a Letterman email campaign. I can't think of very many worse things to do.

In Lew Rockwell's account of the Leno appearance he mentioned a "certain other Late Night host" who treats his staff notoriously bad. Who was he talking about do you think? Letterman? If so, could that be why an appearance hasn't been scheduled?

Its only natural that RP go on Letterman now.

Letterman>>>>Leno

I think Paul would really impress Letterman's audience, even if they do lean more to the left.

I just sent them an email myself, and forwarded my email out to all of the meetup groups I belogn too and requested they do the same. We need to get an organized effort here to get him on the Late Show. Isn't this how we were able to get him on Leno?

Send them an email: http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/contact/

It's a lost cause if the writers go on strike.

FireofLiberty

Yeah, but thankfully I don't think the writer strike will last too long.

We should create a master list of shows we'd like to see Ron Paul on with information about how to contact each show (such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses and links) about Dr. Paul and to request that he be invited on as a guest.
