Republicans will cave when Obama pushes them

Unfortunately, I fixed this for you. But I agree that Obama would fold like a Chinese lawn chair if ever confronted.

Of course the main difference is the federal government doesnt have to make the tough decisions, they can take the easy option of just printing the money.

That is much better for the people of MN than Gov. Dayton wanted things to be. It looks like taxes aren't going up but there will still be $1.4 billion in new spending. According to the article, 1/2 of it is an accounting gimmick that may increase local taxes in most of MN while the other 1/2 of it is in new debt and/or less revenue in the future (so likely higher taxes in the future, based off the history of government in MN).

This isn't exactly good news as it means the MN state government will grow now and it also sets up future MN government growth. On the other hand, it could have been a lot worse.

It isn't great news but it's still the smallest growth in government (percentage wise) for any budget passed in Minnesota since the 60s.

Even if it wasn't a total win for us, it was a clear loss for the DFL which is something rare in Minnesota.
