"But, with a more focused Paul, GOP beware. The more you scratch a fire ant bite, the more the darn thing itches. "

They are dead wrong about cross over support. Do they not read cross tabs on polls?

No, they know their readers and viewers don't. So they can lie.

Mostly a good article.

I loved this line

But, with a more focused Paul, GOP beware. The more you scratch a fire ant bite, the more the darn thing itches.

4 comments and they're all pro-Paul.

That story originally posted here, and I commented about the crossover support.

This BS about a "small but passionate" or "limited" base of grassroots support has to stop. Ron Paul has more actual grassroots supporters than any other candidate (except maybe Obama.) Why do you think the other candidates do so poorly in straw polls and online votes? The only place they beat Paul is in scientific polls of mostly uninformed and undecided voters. Someone answering a robo-poll for Romney should hardly be termed a "supporter".

The "limited appeal" and "no crossover votes" is wrong, too. Ron Paul fares better in head-to-head matchups against Obama than anyone else except Romney. His appeal to independents is greater than any of the other Republicans, making him probably their best chance of winning the White House.
