View Full Version : Far too often Paul supporters get angry and banned

Pro-Life Libertarian

On other forums. I notice this all the time. Then they get dismissed as "predictable Paulbots". And they are very predictable.

Name calling won't get you anywhere and you have to use real arguments. Makes me angry that supporters get generalized the way they do, but so often it is true.

End the Fed! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate seeking to end IRS violence in America, not MITT CON-ME! If you support Mitt Romney, YOU ARE A SHEEP!

I agree with what you say here. Some people in our camp are immature idiots who use name-calling as a way of arguing and therefore hurt the cause of liberty.

Ya, there are a lot of RP supporters out there.

Agreed, once you begin to call names, you have lost the argument.

I disagree that this is a Ron Paul movement problem, I think it's the opposite.

Why is it that every time I see an article about Ron Paul, I go to the comments section and it is a bunch of Ron Paul supporters discussing political ideology, then a few others will come through and throw insults like "Ron Paul is a nut", completely uncalled for.

I think Ron Paul supporters get far more name calling flung at them than the opposite.

How many of those forums, where the Ron Paul supporter got banned, was the Ron Paul supporter the person to draw first blood with name calling? I'll bet it's less than 10%.

It wouldn't surprise me...on another forum I'm on I saw a lot of "new" members that have the same talking points/responses on Ron Paul to bash him and rarely reply to being called out or refuted.

Similarly, it could be just as easy to alienate potential supporters... even though the instigator may not actually be a "supporter" by acting idiotic as described in the OP.

Lets do an experiment. I am a regular on this quality forum http://www.republicanoperative.com/forums/

I believe the creator/head moderator of the forum supported Paul last time. Everyone gets along with him because he isn't constantly promoting Ron.

Maybe 2 or 3 of you guys could sign up in the next couple of days. More later down the road. Don't start off talking about Ron Paul. Just ease your views into some of the discussions. Always be friendly and courteous. We have to change the perception of mainstream Republicans. Also, don't let on that anybody referred you to this site, because a some users would be very anxious to find out which of the Paul supporters on that forum invited them.

If anybody is interesting just say it in this thread We don't need a huge wave going into that site, lets make it gradual. We can start of with 3 users.

One will join today.

Another will join Friday.

Another will join Sunday.

Don't let on who you support at first. Just that you support the Constitution. Again, be kind and courteous. Talk more about other topics than you do about Ron Paul. This will earn respect and stop you from being dismissed as "another Paulbot". And again, don't let on that anybody referred you to that forum.

Anybody want to try this?

I think you need to include some bold and italicized words or people will not realize the buckets of truth you are throwing at them.

I see it more said about us.

A couple examples.

1. Herman Cain recently complained of being hounded by Ron Paul supporters. Cain was always going to drop out at some point. And all our people did was make sure his 10% of supporters will look for someone other than Ron Paul when that happens.

2. Someone recently posted an article by a blogger who endorsed Ron Paul who basically said "I held out for so long only because Ron Paul supporters are so pushy and annoying.

You don't hear this about other guys. You hear it regularly about Ron Paul. Have you ever heard anyone say "I like Mitt Romney but his supporters annoy me"? Or "Herman Cain is great but his supporters are terrible"?

Doesn't happen.

Maybe because the assholes that actually support and/or vote for those 2 don't care enough to tell others or are too afraid of being embarrassed by it that you don't know. FWIW: i've seen many annoying dumbass comments by cain supporters, well for the 2 weeks he was popular anyways.

Exactly. You don't hear about 'Bachmann' supporters, for instance, for the same reason her 'moneybomb' was so freaking pitiful: They don't exist. There can't possibly be anyone who exists who wholeheartedly believes in what Bachmann says, because there's no 'there' there. It's all empty rhetoric and when they say they are 'supporters' it means they 'like' Bachmann, that is it. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a Bachmann supporter who held that position for longer than a couple months.

In truth, they're all voting for one candidate - Team Red. All this primary is about to them is which mask it gets to wear.

I would agree with this. From what I've seen online on other sites i think it breaks down like this in no particular order:

1. A few name-caller RP supporters once in a while get banned.

2. The Red Team all gangs up on Ron and us as their MEME akin to the Dems meme on George W ... the dog ate my homework or I got a hangnail ... if it weren't for RP! Which, BTW, has become to point of absurdity.

3. Neandertal types who recycle the meme or some stupid comment against RP from the Neocon talk hosts and would rather stick their fingers in their ears screaming the Theme to Oklahoma than discuss an intellectual argument on policy. A lot of people would rather believe what they want to believe than have an actual discussion.

End the LIBERAL FED!!! Liberalism (AKA neoCONSERVATISM) was inspired by LEON TROTSKY, the COMMUNIST!! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate seeking to end IRS violence in America, not TWO-FACED MITT CON-ME! Ron Paul doesn't go around shaking babies and holding their parents hands, trying to act like a saint, because he IS one! If you support Mitt Romney, YOU ARE A SHEEP! You are a fucking hopeless idiot who deserves to be aborted (not that I support that kind of murder!)
Considerations considered. Fixed.
