I'm no Alec Baldwin fan, but I loved listening to him own Sean Hannity & Mark Levin in this interview:

I think he's calling the GOP 'funny' because they're fools not to see what's right in front of them - an easy victory over Obomber!

I think Alec Baldwin is right, Ron Paul is the only candidate who can win enough independent and democratic support to win the general... On the other hand, Ron Paul's biggest obstacle to winning POTUS, is winning the GOP primary, not Obama.

Gotta win the primary!

Convincing republican voters that Dr. Paul is their best chance at beating Obama is a huge part of that. They may disagree with him on some issues but he is still on their team and in the end it is a team sport for many of them.

Perhaps he's turned a corner? Not sure.. but it sounds like he's praising Ron Paul.

Same, although I do think AB would have some overlap with RP on some issues. I found it pretty humorous when in the movie The Departed AB's character was praising the PATRIOT Act.

Oliver Queenan: All cell phone signals are under surveillance, due to the courtesy of our Federal friends over there.
Ellerby: Patriot Act, Patriot Act! I love it, I love it, I love it!

The most important thing is that he acknowledges that Dr. Paul could defeat Obama.

Alec Baldwin is really never right about anything, so this is like a blind squirrel finding a nut. Not sure how he stumbled upon this.

I believe he's a conservative. Maybe a neo-con, but he's a Republican I believe.

I think he's calling the GOP 'funny' because they're fools not to see what's right in front of them - an easy victory over Obomber!

But the really funny part is, he's saying this because he thinks we can't win the nomination. But we're going to win the nomination, and we're going to do it by converting his listeners and supporters to Republicans. And he's unwittingly helping us do it. So, the joke's on him.

No! He threatened to leave the country if Bush won, remember? After the deal with his daughter, he could not be any more toxic. Best to stay away.

ETA: I suck at staying away. I tweeted back "If the GOP nominated Ron Paul, the whole world might have a chance."

Doesn't matter if you like him or not, if he's right he's right--and he is. You know what they say about stopped clocks...

Which is why I say our most important task right now and maybe for the duration is to demonstrate how and why the man's principle is a major practical plus. All we have left to do, imo, is to show what good gets done when the rubber hits the road.

Wow...I never thought I would hear pro-Ron Paul comments from Alec Baldwin, but politics does make for some strange bedfellows.
