I don't see the hypocrisy. The story you link to is what I consider a good idea. Cops wearing body cameras to ensure accountability. That's what we want... accountability, right? I wish cops here in Vegas were wearing body cameras when they shot Scott Peterson, then we would have known what really happened. And from the video below it looks like Oakland cops have no problem being taped.

Right now, there are 2 states where it is actually illegal to video-tape police. One is Illinois, which is the state I live in. I don't know what the other one is.

I believe it was Pennsylvania, but only illegal through court ruling.
