Texans don't seem to care much for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney or Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who got 8% and 7% respectively..

This isn't the only one. Last week when PPP polled Ron Paul against Obama and Rick Perry against Obama, not only did Ron Paul have a 7 point better showing than Perry, Ron Paul beat Obama (by 5 points) and Obama beat Perry....in TEXAS.

Ron Paul will have to win Texas. Perry would make it harder to do. Last time Paul came in third, but with only 4.87%. Romney got just 2%.

I guess Juan Williams didn't see that polll. At least they put Dr. Paul in the picture, but I couldn't find much mention. More media shenangians

I don't know if Ron has to win it, the south isn't his best locale. I predict he'll beat Bachmann in Minnesota, though...:p And he COULD win Texas. When Hutchison said she wouldn't run he was immediately polling tied for first place for Senate, and he never said he was interested in running. Perry being head of the party there absolutely could make it harder for Ron to win, though. Perry is the epitome of an establishment Republican, and Ron.... isnt.

Oh, that. Fox did its own poll where I think Perry even beat Romney. Fox has been pushing Perry for a while. Before that it was Cain they were pushing, and Cain won all their polls. I'm sure there is some arguable methodology behind them, but it is odd how their polls always seem to favor candidates they are rooting for.

I wouldn't call it odd. Odd to me is "why is one of my tomato plants growing a banana?" Fox is very predictable.
