How much would someone have to pay you to give up the internet?

How capitalism makes us all richer than we realize.

Hell yeah, man! Laissez-faire free-market capitalism using honest sound money FTW! :D

Apple is highlighted as the way to access the internet... pretty heavily. They even have the college professor holding one giving you a price.

Those evil capitalists...lowering their prices and developing new technologies to voluntarily attract customers...! How dare they!

Oh and I guess to answer the thread title, no I would not.

A few reasons why:

1) Federal Reserve Notes are not stable to hold onto.
2) I really don't care for money that much.
3) The Internet is my bridge to sane and rational people. It allows me to communicate with so many people I otherwise would've never met. It lets me learn so many amazing and great things. The internet truly is the best invention IMO. Just simply because of communication and learning.

I think, as the video put it, we need make a mutually beneficial exchange.

In other words, prove that it's worth $250k to me to get you off of the internet. How big of an ass can you be? :D

Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm... I'd have to say a lifetime of being allowed to access the internet is worth more than 1 million, to me at least.
I would consider permanently giving up internet for maybe $3 million.

I'd do it if someone will buy my house for simply what I paid 2 yrs ago.

I wouldn't give it up for any amt of cash. Once a kid offered me $500 for one of my dogs. I told him you don't have enough money to buy him. You could offer me $5, $10, $500 million etc and I wouldn't sell him to you. He didn't understand.

Would I give up the interwebz for 1 million? Absolutely. In a heartbeat. I would finally be able to build a generator for my cabin in the woods and spend my time fishing, hunting, gathering, chopping wood, reading, writing .. Well, I spend a lot of time doing that already, but after that I'd be able to get out of the Babylon for good.

Brilliant question. I would not give up the Internet for life for $1 million if I had a guarantee that it would remain as an open, independent entity.

Without the internet, how would we donate to Ron Paul?

Send him a check.

In answer the to the OP, yes I would give up internet for 1 million dollars. I managed to get by w/o internet until I first got it in my teenage years and I could get by without it even better with a million dollars in my pocket.
