Federal Judge -- Parts of Patriot Act Violate 4th Amendment! (http://www.dailypaul.com/180519/federal-judge-parts-of-patriot-act-violate-4th-amendment)
"Two provisions of the USA Patriot Act are unconstitutional because they allow search warrants to be issued without a showing of probable cause, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.
U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken ruled that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, as amended by the Patriot Act, "now permits the executive branch of government to conduct surveillance and searches of American citizens without satisfying the probable cause requirements of the Fourth Amendment.""
...
"For over 200 years, this Nation has adhered to the rule of law — with unparalleled success. A shift to a Nation based on extra-constitutional authority is prohibited, as well as ill-advised," she wrote.
By asking her to dismiss Mayfield's lawsuit, the judge said, the U.S. attorney general's office was "asking this court to, in essence, amend the Bill of Rights, by giving it an interpretation that would deprive it of any real meaning. This court declines to do so."

Idaho State Representative, Phil Hart, explains how the federal government backed down after he introduced legislation to declare a State of Emergency, which would have authorized the use of local police power to prevent the federal government from interfering in the wild-life management of the state. [This is significant because it may become a model for similar exercise of States Rights in other fields as well.] (http://www.morphcity.com/home/109-phil-hart-declaring-a-state-of-emergency)MorphCity 2011 Nov 28

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure,
the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy,
its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.."
-- Winston Churchill

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read: Unfortunately, most voters don't know this.

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Albuquerque Ends Water Fluoridation

New Mexico
(NaturalNews) A major health victory has been achieved in New Mexico where officials in the state's largest city, Albuquerque, have made the historic decision to stop artificially fluoridating the municipal water supply. This means that more than half a million local residents will no longer be forcibly medicated with a toxic byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer manufacturing industry, and the city itself will save hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars a year in the process.

Poland beekeepers kick Monsanto out of the hive, successfully ban bee-killing GM corn (http://www.naturalnews.com/036010_Poland_Monsanto_GM_corn.html)

"(NaturalNews) A significant health freedom victory has taken place in the European nation of Poland, where all plantings of Monsanto's MON810, a genetically-modified (GM) variety of maize (corn) that produces its own built-in Bt insecticide in every kernel, have been officially banned.

The decision comes after thousands of protesters recently took to the streets in demonstration of the undeniable fact that both MON810 and the chemicals applied to it are at least partially responsible for causing Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), the worldwide phenomenon in which entire swarms of honey bees disappear or turn up dead.

"The decree is in the works. It introduces a complete ban on the MON810 strain of maize in Poland," said Polish Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki, who also explained to the press that pollen from MON810 appears to be responsible for further devastating the already dwindling bee population throughout the country and elsewhere."

Problem is, this explanation doesn't begin to tell the whole story. As evil as social communism is, the banking system of capitalism is just as bad. We are beginning to see the real problem today as a new leisure class has taken over the means of fiat counterfeiting. An economic war is pitting the workers of inequity, with these being the leisure class, versus the workers of prosperity, with these being both the bourgeoisie class, those who control the means of production, and the proletariat class, those who produce goods and services.
The solution to this hideous problem is the implementation of Watkinsian Socialism. Watkinsian Socialism believes the economics of socialism and the ultimate communist state that follows will always remain a threat to liberty just as long as the capitalist banking system is allowed to take advantage of the people. The solution is to implement social communism in the banking system strictly and solely with absolute equal pay for all banking employees with no perks, benefits, or bonuses of any kind.
In this way, both evils are bred to extinction.

Liberty for the sake of liberty is no better than the total loss of ones soul. When liberty becomes the goal of an apple in a tree, to acheive it, a higher idea must become a blue sky to shoot for. We are being taken advantage of as if we are children. Drunkards without conscience are stumbling us up. There is no greater offense than this.
Simon was made a slave to pick up Christ and His cross to carry both the rest of the way up the hill. Isn't this odd? Christ wasn't trying to survive. His problem dealt with, as one of the criminals pointed out to Him, the ability and urge as the Almighty to save Himself. Once He got to the top, He died rather quickly so much so that the Roman centuries marveled.

God is the author and the ultimate champion of liberty because it is THE ONLY way of obtaining the purpose of life, which is Joy. If you think liberty is "drunkenness," you do not understand liberty! To be free is to be the master of oneself, and to respect and love your neighbor as yourself, because we are all one. And whatsoever you do to others, you are doing it to yourself (even if you do not yet see it, but you will see it, as God lives). This is the basis of the eternal Law of Justice. Therefore if you want to be free, you will protect the liberty of your neighbor, for only thus, ultimately, can you preserve your own! Liberty is the very Law of God and the very Gospel of Christ, who said "I am the Truth, the life and the way;" "And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you FREE!" Get it? Freedom is the goal, and the whole point here! Argue this one with God who said it! I believe Him! So should you!

As a Christian, what gives me an advantage over others is the Prophecy given to us by our heavenly Father Who warned us about a thousand years of outer darkness. This is a return to tyranny, to those endless dynasties of ancient times.

People never lose their freedom because tyrants make them lose it. Slavery happens as a result of a relationship between two cultures with one of them, over a long period of time, becoming submissive to the other. Neither the master or the slave culture is even aware of what is happening. The problem with arguing in this way is people will then accuse you of being a revisionist historian.

The better tact is to cut through the endless issues by first establishing a formal dichotomy. In doing so, this will establish the false dichotomies. As an issue is a topic dealing strictly with the formal dichotomy, nonsense are the more numerous topics dealing with false dichotomies.

A formal dichotomy is a platonic best-principled way of dividing the unapproachable Truth into a comprehensible interpretation of it or into an individual's personal perception of reality. To narrow to this formal dichotomy, such false dichotomies as black versus white, male versus female, old versus young, conservative versus liberal, Democrat versus Republican are discarded. After establishing the formal dichotomy, the few important issues can be separated from nonsense.
Our system of diseducation teaches that there exists no such thing as nonsense as every issue is accepted in such an established Sophistocracy.

Jury Nullification Passed in New Hampshire! (http://reason.com/blog/2012/06/29/new-hampshire-adopts-jury-nullification)

Alleluia!!!

This is BIG! Please, urge your state representatives NOW to do the same in your State!

Jury Nullification is an ABSOLUTE MUST if Liberty is to be restored!!!

This is an excellent way to end Obama care and any other overreaching and wicked Federal law! Juries of peers can nulify them on the spot, in the case before them!

Hurray!

Do it now, please!

"Jury nullification, in which jurors refuse to convict defendants under laws they find objectionable or inappropriately applied, is a favored tactic of many libertarians who, rightly or wrongly perceive individual liberty as, at best, a minority taste among their neighbors. They like the idea of a tool that can be wielded on the spot to shield people from powerful control freaks without first having to win a popularity contest. But nullification is useful only if people know about. And last week, New Hampshire's governor signed a law requiring the state's judges to permit defense attorneys to inform jurors of their right to nullify the law."

Austria 1938 ... USA 2012? (http://www.dailypaul.com/242922/you-simply-cant-ignore-the-parallels-between-austria-1938-and-the-usa-2012read-and-realize-the-end-game-is-near)

Wow! "Those who will not learn from history are destined to repeat its mistakes."

1938 Austria

America truly is the Greatest Country in the World.
By: Kitty Werthmann (85 yrs.old)

What I am about to tell you is something you've probably never heard or will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide - 98% of the vote. I've never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.
In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.
Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn't want to work; there simply weren't any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people - about 30 daily.

The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
We were overjoyed, and, for three days, we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Hitler Targets Education - Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:

Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.

Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.

My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday, when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun - no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first, but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time, unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly.
As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

Equal Rights Hits Home:

In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant, if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:

When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls;

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.

We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn't meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.

We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the livestock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

"Mercy Killing" Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day, I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed , letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

The Final Steps - Gun Laws:

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law-abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long afterwards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little, eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, pre-teen to elderly. The press never wrote about this, either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.

Remember the US man, Anwar Al-awlaki, and his 16 year old son killed by the US gov. via a drone? Well, he turned out to be pro peace!

He said: "The killing of thousands of Arab civilians in the Middle East by the US does NOT justify the killing of even ONE US civilian in New York or Washington DC. And the death of 6 thousand civilians in New York and Washington DC, does not justify the death of one civilian in Afghanistan!"

This is profound! Sounds like US killed a good man, and his 16 year old son. Sad but true.

Bottom line:
Disarmed citizens = more crime and less Liberty

Thus,
Gun control IS crime!

Armed citizens = FREEDOM!!!

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

Grassroots victory against GMO deception is now inevitable (http://www.prisonplanet.com/dont-celebrate-yet-but-a-grassroots-victory-against-gmo-deception-is-now-inevitable.html)

Think about it:
• Nobody actively goes to the grocery store and seeks out foods with GMOs in them.
• No food company declares “Now, made with GMO!” on the label of any product they make.
• No grocery store advertises, “We sell GMO in our store!”
GMOs are only purchased accidentally by consumers. Nobody buys them on purpose. They buy them out of ignorance. And when that ignorance is transformed into knowledge, nobody wants to eat GMO!

More at http://www.prisonplanet.com/dont-celebrate-yet-but-a-grassroots-victory-against-gmo-deception-is-now-inevitable.html

My only caveat to this article is that the proper way to do away with GMO is not through government forced labeling, but through Free Market forces and perhaps litigation for possible health damages:

1) Educate everyone of the danger
2) People will insist on non-GMO
3) Market will adjust.

Passing a law requiring labeling is less optimal because:

a) you cannot rightly force your neighbor to label the food he sells.
b) government forced labeling can create false sense of security, because government can quietly alter definitions or drop requirements, as they did with "USDA Organic" label which means GMO can be "USDA Organic" if it is grown without pesticides!

Thus Free Market solution of "non-GMO" label is much better.

A 12-year-old girl is being hailed a hero for shooting a home intruder after she hid with a gun in the closet.
Kendra St Clair, from Oklahoma, was home alone when she heard someone break in.
She called her mother and asked what she should do, and her terrified mom told her to get the gun and hide in the closet and stay there until she thought the coast was clear.

But when she emerged from her hiding space and went to the back door, she saw the intruder was still trying to break in and ran back into the closet.
...
'When I was back there (in the closet) on the phone with 911, I heard the bathroom light turn on that was leading to the closet. And when I saw the door handle turn, I shot him.
'I guess it went through the door, went through him, and went through the wall.'

What Hurricane Sandy Reveals About the Future of Preparedness (http://www.prisonplanet.com/what-hurricane-sandy-reveals-about-the-future-of-preparedness.html)

Fresh water: Water bottles, gallon jugs, and likely even access to nearby springs will be protected by certain groups.

Water-containing beverages: All types of juice, soda, milk, just about anything to quench thirst.

Firearms: Handguns, rifles, and shotguns will be most in demand however it’s likely even BB guns and airsoft will be purchased or looted for protection or otherwise.

Canned foods: Expect stores to sell out of long-term storable foods as soon as word of disaster hits.

Sugar and spices: Items like sugar, coffee, spices, salt, and pepper will essentially be a new form of currency in the event of a meltdown. The bartering system of days past will be reinvigorated through the trade of once-cheap products like these in exchange for even major things like vehicles, weapons, and water.

You are wrong again. Liberty is the goal here, the beginning and the end.

I'm not so sure. UEW's suggestions have piqued my interest. I have long strove to consolidate absolute freedom with a runaway banking system that lends itself to fiat currency. The charging of interest is one such feature and is a danger to liberty in all other aspects of life. For this reason, I might be able to get on board with the idea of Watkinsian socialism. In any case, repeating that freedom is the goal here doesn't really help your case. You have to substantiate why this is an absolute standard. Why not regulate the banking system? I don't know exactly how it would work myself, but I'm not ruling it out.

I don't know exactly how it would work myself, but I'm not ruling it out.You are missing the key point here, namely: Fiat currency is IMPOSSIBLE without a government forced monopoly. Therefore, fiat money scam is NOT the creature of Free Market, but the hellish creature of government. It, in principle, cannot exist without government coercion and violence, granting the banksters monopoly, privileges and immunities from the forces of JUSTICE and Free Market. Free Market, when unimpaired by government violence, promptly kills fiat monetary system, because no one like being plundered if they have a choice. Therefore such unbacked fraudulent currency will be rejected via Free Competition in Currencies, (which is a feature of a Free Market), in favor of a 100% commodity based currency, which is the most stable and the most honest monetary system known to man.

So to summarize: “absolute freedom” does not lend itself to fiat currency, but to currency preferred by Free Market, i.e. gold, silver or other 100% commodity based currencies.

Besides, what is wrong with “absolute freedom,” if you define freedom as the absence of aggression of violence? Do you think a little violent aggression is good? I disagree. A little INJUSTICE is not good. By accepting a little injustice you forfeit the entire concept of JUSTICE, and as a consequence you forever forfeit Liberty, Prosperity and Peace.

The part that always makes me skeptical with these stories (although I would say I'm more inclined to believe in God than not), is the question of 'why are we here then?' The article says we are here as a test - but why? If the afterlife is wonderful and full of love and nothing goes wrong, then what is the point of testing us, and what are these 'special tasks' that we do in the next life if we are selected for them based on our good work in this life.

It is a quite natural conclusion. NOT all enjoy their hereafter equally. Hell does exist (it would be illogical if it didn't). Hell is a self-created torment of those who do evil to THEMSELVES by doing evil to their neighbor, which is ultimately the same thing, because we are all connected. And if you torture yourself, you will be in torment. Simple. It is a fundamental reality, that whatever you do to your neighbor, you are ultimately doing it to YOURSELF. This is the basis and the reason for the Eternal Law of Justice. It is inescapable as truth and REALITY are inescapable by definition.

Why are we here? To learn to be like God, of course! Because it is the best, and ultimately the only way to be!

The Texas Travel Freedom Act, House Bill 80 (http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=83R&Bill=HB80), would make it a criminal act to intentionally touch “the anus, breast, buttocks, or sexual organ of the other person, including touching through clothing,” without probable cause in the process of determining whether to grant someone access to a public venue or means of public transportation.

The act also provides additional protection for minors.

A Hard Money Revolt

by Murray N. Rothbard (http://www.lewrockwell.com/rothbard/rothbard-lib.html)

"Revolution in Minnesota," The Libertarian Forum (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AJBLGV2?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B00AJBLGV2&linkCode=xm2&tag=lewrockwell), August 1, 1969.

...

Two years ago, Jerome Daly, a citizen of Savage, Minnesota, a suburban town just south of Minneapolis, refused to make any further payments on the mortgage which he had owed to his bank. At his jury trial (First National Bank of Montgomery vs. Jerome Daly) in December, 1968 before Justice of the Peace Martin V. Mahoney, a farmer and carpenter by trade, at which the bank tried to repossess the property, Mr. Daly argued that he owed the bank nothing. Why? Because, the bank, in lending him money, had loaned him not real money but bank credit which the bank had created out of thin air. Not being genuine money, the credit was not a valid consideration, and therefore the contract was null and void. Daly argued that he did not owe the bank anything.

In making this seemingly preposterous argument, Jerome Daly was being a far better economist – and libertarian – than anyone knew. For fractional reserve banking – now a system at the behest and direction of the Federal Reserve Banks – is, like fiat paper, legalized counterfeiting, the creation of claims which are invalid and impossible to redeem. Furthermore, Daly contended that this kind of creation of money by banks is illegal and unconstitutional.

Even more remarkable than Mr. Daly’s thesis is that the jury unanimously held for him, and declared the mortgage null and void; and Justice Mahoney’s supporting decision, delivered last Dec. 9, is a gem of radical assertion of the rights of the people and a thoroughgoing assault on the unwisdom and fraudulence and unconstitutionality of fractional reserve banking.

Bewildered, the First National Bank of Montgomery, Minnesota proceeded in routine fashion to file an appeal with Justice Mahoney for a higher court. But the catch is that in order to file an appeal, the plaintiff has to pay a fee of two dollars. Justice Mahoney, O happy day, refused to accept the appeal on January 22 because Federal Reserve Notes, which of course constituted the fee, are not lawful money. Only gold and silver coin, affirmed the judge, can be made legal tender, and therefore the fee for appeal had not been paid. Justice Mahoney followed this up with supporting memoranda on January 30 and February 5, which are heartwarming blends of sound economics and strict legal constructionism, and which also declared the unconstitutionality of the Federal Reserve Act and the National Banking Act, the capstones of our current interventionist and statist monetary system.

There the matter rests at the moment; but where does it rest? We have it on the authority of Justice Mahoney that debts to fractional reserve banks (i.e. the current banking system) are null and void, that their very nature is fraudulent and illegal (in short, that the banks belong to the people!), that Federal Reserve Notes and fiat paper are unlawful and unconstitutional.

Never has there been a more radical attack upon the whole nature of our fraudulent and statist banking system.

Furthermore, with these embattled Minnesotans, their radicalism is not only rhetoric; they are prepared to back it up with still further concrete acts. Jerome Daly has already announced that if any higher court of the United States, “perpetrates a fraud upon the People by defying the Constitutional Law of the United States (Justice) Mahoney has resolved that he will convene another Jury in Credit River Township (where Savage is located) to try the issue of the Fraud on the part of any State or Federal Judge”. Daly adds, moreover, that the Constable and the Citizens’ Militia of Credit River Township are prepared to use their power to back up the jury’s decision and keep Mr. Daly in possession of his land. The people of Savage, Minnesota, in short, are prepared to fight, to resist the decrees of the state and federal governments, to use their power on the local level to resist the State.

Water fluoridation DEFEATED in Portland (http://www.infowars.com/water-fluoridation-defeated-in-portland-citizens-overwhelmingly-reject-dumping-toxic-fluoride-chemicals-into-the-water-supply/)

Voters in Portland, Oregon solidly defeated a city-wide water fluoridation measure yesterday, with 60% of the voters saying “NO!” to the practice of adding toxic fluoride chemicals to the water.

The result is a huge victory for www.CleanWaterPortland.org and all the men, women and children of Portland who can now rest easier, knowing their tap water is not intentionally poisoned with cancer-causing chemicals derived from industrial waste and mislabeled “fluoride.”

The Russians Prove Small Scale Organic Farming CAN Feed the World (http://www.infowars.com/the-russians-prove-small-scale-organic-can-feed-the-world/)

Christina Sarich
Infowars.com
May 30, 2013

If you’ve already been through an economic collapse, you might know a thing or two about how to feed your family with little money. More importantly, you might know how to do it without pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and GMO seed. On a total of about 20 million acres managed by over 35 million Russian families, Russians are carrying on an old-world technique, which we Americans might learn from. They are growing their own organic crops (http://www.collapsenet.com/free-resources/collapsenet-public-access/news-alerts/item/10824-russians-proving-that-small-scale-organic-gardening-can-feed-the-world) – and it’s working.

According to some statistics (http://reclaimgrowsustain.com/content/russians-proving-small-scale-organic-gardening-can-feed-world), they grow 92% of the entire countries’ potatoes, 77% of its vegetables, 87% of its fruit, and feed 71% of the entire population from privately owned, organic farms or house gardens all across the country. These aren’t huge Agro-farms run by pharmaceutical companies; these are small family farms and less-than-an-acre gardens.

A recent report from Agro-ecology and the Right to Food (http://www.srfood.org/images/stories/pdf/officialreports/20110308_a-hrc-16-49_agroecology_en.pdf) says that organic and sustainable small-scale farming could double food production in the parts of the world where hunger is the biggest issue. Within five to 10 years we could see a big jump in crop cultivation. It could also take the teeth out of GMO business in the US.

According to World Watch (http://www.worldwatch.org/node/5880), we can also farm fish responsibly and feed the planet. Sustainable fish farms along with organic gardening are becoming the new agro-business.

“Farmed seafood has certain advantages over wild fish in meeting modern demand. For a global marketplace that demands increasingly predictable products—uniform-sized fillets available year-round, free of the vagaries of weather or open-ocean fishing—fish farming delivers this predictability. Farms are also becoming more productive, raising fish at a lower cost and expanding the potential market.” (Brian Halwell, Farming Fish for the Future).

As long as this is done in sustainable ways without GMO salmon (http://naturalsociety.com/genetically-modified-salmon-genetic-engineering-animal-approve-2013/), we really can feed over 7 billion (http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/) people.

Unfortunately, not all of us want to utilize organic farming. Purchasing 500,000 shares of Monsanto stock in 2012, Bill Gates is just one key figure who argues that GMOs are an absolute necessity (http://naturalsociety.com/monsanto-investor-bill-gates-says-gmo-crops-needed-to-fight-starvation/) in order to fight global starvation. Of course along with ‘saving the world from starvation’, GMO crops also bring along a large number of unwanted health and environmental effects (http://www.enveurope.com/content/23/1/10). This isn’t even considering the fact that long term, we truly don’t know what kind of impact this will have on the earth on a major scale. Though we do know once everything is GMO, it will be virtually impossible to go back to a natural world.

Check out NaturalSociety’s YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/NaturalSociety) for some recent videos on the March Against Monsanto event occurring in Philadelphia, PA. The videos offer some educational information along with a look at how people everywhere reject Monsanto and genetically modified organisms. Say goodbye to GMOs. We don’t need them.

“We won’t solve hunger and stop climate change with industrial farming on large plantations,” says Olivier De Schutter (http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/un-report-released-can-organic-farming-feed-the-world.htm).

The Disaster Myth Narrative: (http://www.lewrockwell.com/2013/09/daisy-luther/no-looting-no-panic-no-hunger/)

"
“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” ~ George Orwell

I was recently doing some research about the aftermath of some natural disasters that took place here in America. I was shocked to find that the articles I was looking for – ones that I had read in the past – were pretty hard to find, but articles refuting the sought-for pieces were rampant. Not just one event, but every single crisis aftermath that I looked up, had articles that were written after the fact stating in no uncertain terms that the hunger, chaos, and unrest never happened.

Apparently we, the preparedness community, are all wrong when it comes to the belief that after a disaster, chaos erupts and civic disorder is the rule of the day.

According to “experts” it never happens."

10 Signs The Global Elite Are Losing Control (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/09/10-signs-global-elite-are-losing-control.html)

Eric Blair
Activist Post (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/09/10-signs-global-elite-are-losing-control.html)

Karma is coming for the elite in a big way. As the Powers That Be head toward a devastating defeat in their war plans for Syria, signs are emerging that their rule over humanity is rapidly diminishing.

Over the last decade the global elite have been on a mad dash to consolidate power over the world. It's always been their plan like some evil villain in a comic book, but after 9/11 the plan went into overdrive and then turbo charged during the financial crisis of 2008.

Yet it's doomed to fail because humans are meant to be guided by their own free will, not controlled like livestock. The more the elite try to control humanity, the more entropy occurs. Entropy, for those who don't know, is the lack of order or predictability; a gradual decline into disorder.

Although the elite still enjoy a huge wealth advantage over the masses, they are now resigned to behaving like tyrants to maintain control. This, in turn, exposes their dark side which has been cleverly concealed for ages. Not anymore.

People are waking up in droves, at least as fast as the elite can build their full-spectrum prison matrix. Let them try. To paraphrase Victor Hugo, "No army can stop an idea whose time has come."

Here are ten signs that the elite are losing control over the people:

1. Official lies no longer effective: The lies they tell simply don't work anymore. There was a time when official lies, especially about war and peace, were believed. Because, after all, how evil would it be to lie about such things? Generally people want to believe they are being told the truth when life and death is at stake. The boy who cried wolf has cried one too many times. Even if they told the truth at this point, very few would believe them.

2. No confidence in politics: US politicians have a paltry approval rating. The trust in government is at all-time lows here and around the world. Mainstream polls show only 10% of the public (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/06/only-10-of-americans-have-confidence-in.html) has confidence in Congress. In other words, 90% don't believe in them to be competent to govern.

Watch this Town Hall exchange below where a man threatens US Senator John McCain with arrest for treason to his face. This would have never happened just a year or two ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=H8SycdU3QDk

3. No confidence in media: The most recent polls show that 77% of the population (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/06/77-do-not-trust-television-news.html) no longer trusts corporate TV news. Is it any wonder why the establishment media failed to sell the lies about the alleged Syria chemical event? With all their monopoly might over the airwaves, they can no longer claim that black is white simply because officialdom says so.

4. Bankers rejected: Hungary recently became the first country to follow Iceland's lead by shedding international bankers (IMF (http://www.imf.org/external/np/sec/pr/2013/pr13306.htm)) and is considering pursuing prosecution of past prime ministers who enslaved the people with debt.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BzToBNKVwBs

Look for this trend to continue even if nations decide to default to break free.

5. Vatican abruptly cleaning up its act: Under the previous Pope, Pope Benedict, scandals erupted from the Vatican ranging from covering up pedophile priests to money laundering and fraud. Benedict, in an unprecedented move, abruptly retired to make way for a seemingly much more likable Pope Francis. Pope Francis by all measures (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20130712/eu-vatican-bank/) is working furiously to reclaim the church's peaceful (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/05/pope-francis-syria_n_3872435.html) and humble (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/30/vatican-defends-pope-francis-washing-of-womens-feet_n_2985784.html) reputation. Whether this is genuine or a PR move, it's telling that the church was forced into such a drastic turnaround to save itself from losing all credibility.

6. Mutiny among soldiers: Finally. Soldiers, who are outlawed from making political statements, are steadily speaking out (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/09/ididntjoin-stunning-photos-of-us.html) against US military adventurism. As Einstein famously said "The pioneers of a warless world are the young men (and women) who refuse military service."

7. Militarized police state: One of the darkest signs that the elite are losing their grip on power is the construction of the militarized police state (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/05/us-suspends-constitution-in-permanent.html) specifically trained to combat domestic civil unrest. Local cops with tanks and other combat gear are working with Feds at Fusion centers, active Army units are on American soil for the first time in history, the NSA spy grid is being used by the IRS and DEA (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/08/wasnt-warrantless-spying-only-approved.html), and the elimination of due process for Americans under the NDAA are just some of the tyrannical moves made to secure the elite criminals from public backlash. They're clearly scared, and they should be given what they've done to the American people and the Constitution.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Equc9A1pqQk

8. Serious secession movements everywhere: A state seceding from a larger political entity used to be an ultra-fringe concept, until now. In America, secession movements (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/09/norcal-county-votes-to-secede-create.html) are winning over the public in parts of Colorado and California. In Europe, serious secession movements are happening in Spain (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/spain/9699857/Catalonia-prepares-itself-for-a-vote-against-Spain.html) and Scotland (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-19892368), as well as several EU nations flirting with the idea of dropping out of the euro. Decentralization = Entropy!

9. GMO food being rejected everywhere: Control the food and you control the people. True in theory, but much more difficult in practice. GMO leaders like Monsanto are being exposed (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/08/top-5-gmo-myths-debunked.html). All of their economic and political strength cannot defeat the spread of knowledge about the dangers of pesticide-soaked Frankenfoods. GMO fields are being burned in protest in America (http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/breaking-fbi-calls-destruction-gmo-sugar-beets-oregon-economic-sabotage) and around the world (http://politicalblindspot.com/hungary-eco-defense/), informed nations continue to reject their products (http://www.theorganicprepper.ca/10-ways-to-starve-a-multi-national-gmo-conglomerate-05302013), and labeling laws are gaining traction.

10. Cannabis liberation: Many reading this will think marijuana legalization (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/08/holder-feds-to-allow-weed-in-legal.html) is a superficial development. However, it is a major signpost that the elite's grip is fading. Enormous resources have been spent (http://www.activistpost.com/2012/08/legalize-weed-campaigns-crushing.html) to keep cannabis illegal. Cannabis has been a powerful medicine for physical, mental, and spiritual health throughout the ages. This single plant represents a huge threat to the power structures and their industries, hence its seemingly senseless illegality. The approaching global reversal (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2382375/Uruguay-set-legalise-marijuana-admitting-global-war-drugs-failed.html) of the tyrannical policy of prohibition is the first of many concessions to come.

Explosive Gun Control Documentary (http://www.infowars.com/explosive-gun-control-documentary-disarmed-by-anthony-gucciardi-released-for-free-online/)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=x1Vu6fWro68

The explosive gun control documentary Disarmed: A History of Gun Control, which examines the true statistics behind firearm use and gun control legislation, has released for free online.

Disarmed breaks down research that amounts to hundreds of pages and dozens of hours into a high energy blast of information that is catered towards both hardened firearm activists and gun control advocates alike. As the statistics and data come together, the key points in the film are backed by reality that goes beyond the media manipulation and emotional hype surrounding the entire issue of gun control and gun freedom

The film, available for free on Youtube in full (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1Vu6fWro68), features intense discussions with highly influential and knowledgeable individuals like Mike Adams of NaturalNews (http://naturalnews.com/), Texas Representative Steven Toth (http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/member-page/?district=15), Representative Joe Carr (http://www.capitol.tn.gov/House/members/h48.html), and many others.

‘A 31 MINUTE RED PILL OF INFORMATION’

You’ll discover hard-hitting information, such as the real numbers behind firearm deaths verses what the media would like you to believe, how ‘gun free zones’ are actually fueling crime, how mass shooting ‘epidemics’ actually tie into gun control zoning, how to protect yourself from looming gun bans, how to beat back insane legislation that is attempting to trample the Second Amendment, self-defense tips, and much more.

Disarmed is designed to be the ultimate ‘reality check’ to share with anyone and everyone who still clings to the purported effectiveness of gun free zones and gun control legislation. As Mike Adams puts it:

“Disarmed is totally hard hitting, it is a 31 minute red pill for those who still cling to the concept of gun free zones and mass disarmament.” – Mike Adams of NaturalNews

In addition, Disarmed is created in such a way that it details the blatant failures behind attempts by control freak politicians to seize weapons through complete and utter gun bans. Politicians that are physically protected via firearm-wielding security forces or actually carry their own hand gun for self-defense purposes

Though the film has the production quality and information content of a major documentary film that you would expect to find on television or even in theaters, the ability to release the film online for free is thanks to the participation of the extremely talented Michael Shane Media in helping me to create the film in a very short time period for the Infowars Operation Paul Revere Contest (http://www.storyleak.com/gun-control-documentary-disarmed-anthony-gucciardi-released-free-online/infowars.com/contest/).

War Heroes (http://archive.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance330.html)

by Laurence M. Vance (lmvance@juno.com)

Recently by Laurence M. Vance: The 'Conservative' Republican Budget (http://archive.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance329.html)

Throughout American history, soldiers have always been held in high esteem. It doesn’t matter where or why a particular war was fought – current and former members of the military have always been put on a pedestal.

We are expected to heap glory, laud, and honor upon them. We are expected to reverence and idolize them. We are expected to post signs expressing our support for them. We are expected to greet them in airports. We are expected to let them serve as role models for our children. We are expected to recognize them at sporting events. We are expected to pray for them during church services. We are expected to let them recruit in schools. We are expected to give them discounts at our businesses. We are expected to give them preference in employment. We are expected to thank them for their service.

To not participate is to be ungrateful for their sacrifice; to object to the attention paid to them is to be unpatriotic. Indeed, to question the military in any way – its size, its budget, its efficiency, its bureaucracy, its contractors, its weaponry, its missions, its effectiveness, its wars, its interventions, and especially its personnel – is to question America itself.

The adulation given to soldiers is especially true if they have been in combat. And this is increasingly the case since the beginning of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan over ten years ago. Never before in American history has such military idolatry gripped the country. Never before have so many Christians bowed before the golden calf of the U.S. military. It has gotten to the point where any soldier who went to Iraq or Afghanistan is a war hero.

...

If soldiers were viewed as makers of widows and orphans, then the last thing the sight of a soldier in uniform would bring to mind would be a hero. If soldiers were viewed as willingly participating in the invasion, occupation, and destruction of countries that were no threat to the United States, then the sight of someone in a military uniform would bring forth feelings of revulsion instead of respect. If soldiers were viewed as ignorant but willing pawns for the state that just couldn’t find other jobs, then they would be pitied instead of praised. If soldiers were viewed with indifference as just men who have jobs where uniforms are required, they would be looked at no differently than cooks, mechanics, or doormen.

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/realityzone/icon-video.gif Michael Boldin, founder of The Tenth Amendment Center, explains that, even though Congress is unlikely to stop NSA spying, there are ways for the states to do it. [This involves a process called nullification in which states simply exercise their Constitutional right to refuse cooperation with any federal measure that, in the opinion of the states themselves, is unconstitutional. One effective way to implement that would be to turn off the water and electrical power to NSA facilities, such as the huge data collection center in Bluffdale, Utah. Nine states propose 16 anti-fluoridation bills in 2013 to protect public against poison (http://www.infowars.com/nine-states-propose-16-anti-fluoridation-bills-in-2013-to-protect-public-against-poison/)

Natural News (http://www.naturalnews.com/043294_water_fluoridation_anti-fluoridation_bills_public_poisoning.html)

December 19, 2013

Things are heating up on the fluoride front as states and municipalities all across the country rethink their official water fluoridation policies. According to the Fluoride Action Network (FAN), some 16 pieces of legislation across nine states were introduced or passed just within the past year to protect the public against this pervasive poison.

http://static.infowars.com/bindnfocom/2013/12/121913water.jpg (http://static.infowars.com/bindnfocom/2013/12/121913water.jpg)

What’s floating in your water? Toxic chemicals potentially.

In Utah, for instance, the Safe Drinking Water Disclosure Act was passed back in April, requiring that all shipments of fluoride chemicals coming into the state be accompanied by certificates of analysis detailing the presence of any outside contaminants. The law reportedly took effect on July 1, allowing local water utilities to end their fluoridation programs in the event that certificates are not provided.

Fluoride additives, as you may recall, are often laced with other poisons like arsenic, cadmium and even radioactive isotopes that persist from the waste liquids used by the phosphate fertilizer and aluminum manufacturing industries to capture pollutants. These pollutants, not the natural environment, are the source from which the artificial fluoride chemicals added to water supplies are derived.

Tennessee, a leader in anti-fluoridation legislation, introduced two similar bills earlier this year requiring fluoride manufacturers to disclose the full contents of their chemicals. House Bill 1215 and Senate Bill 1274 were also accompanied by HB 1186 and SB 1211, two bills that would allow local voters to decide whether or not to continue fluoridating their water supplies. Statewide, Tennessee also introduced HR 130, which would prohibit state employees or agencies from endorsing fluoride (http://www.naturalnews.com/fluoride.html).

“In years past the dental lobby has been successful in getting pro-fluoridation bills introduced in state legislatures across the United States, including legislation that would mandate statewide fluoridation — a law 13 states presently have. But the tables are turning,” explains FAN. “In 2013… instead of the introduction of pro-fluoride bills (http://www.naturalnews.com/bills.html), we saw the exact opposite, with the introduction of 16 anti-fluoridation bills in 9 states.”

Five states introduce legislation to eliminate fluoridation mandates

Concerning statewide fluoridation mandates, New Jersey successfully thwarted attempts by some legislators to require that its 9 million residents be forcibly medicated with fluoride poison. And at least five bills have been introduced, one each in South Dakota, Connecticut, Minnesota, Illinois and Arkansas, to end longstanding fluoridation mandates.

“With the exception of the Illinois bill, all of these proposals are still being considered and are expected to have public hearings in 2014,” adds FAN. “In preparation, FAN has been working with our point people and local groups within these states (http://www.naturalnews.com/states.html) to organize grassroots campaigns in support of the legislation.”

Besides the aforementioned bills, a handful of other anti-fluoride bills were introduced this year in Kansas, Massachusetts and New York. HB 2372 in Kansas now requires that warnings about fluoride and its effect on IQ — a Harvard University study recently confirmed that fluoride exposure lowers IQ levels in children — be printed on water bills.

In Massachusetts, a similar bill would require an infant fluoride warning similar to the infant warnings currently issued in New Hampshire; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Austin, Texas. And in New York, A 141 has been introduced to require that all fluoridated communities lower their poisoning level from 1.2 parts per million (ppm) of fluoride to 0.7 ppm of fluoride, in accordance with new recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“It doesn’t take an expert to see that the tide has shifted, that state legislators are discovering the truth about fluoridation, and that the momentum is clearly on our side going into the 2014 legislative sessions,” concludes FAN.

2013 Was The Year Of The Gun! (http://www.lewrockwell.com/2014/01/awr-hawkins/2013-was-the-year-of-the-gun/)

By AWR Hawkins (http://www.lewrockwell.com/author/awr-hawkins/?post_type=article)
AmmoLand.com (http://www.ammoland.com/)
January 10, 2014

Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com (http://www.ammoland.com/))- Following the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary in December 2012, Democrats planned to turn 2013 into the year of gun control.

But thanks to the efforts of law-abiding gun owners, the new media, Fox News, and the NRA, 2013 turned into the year of the gun.

It began with a surge in gun sales across the country in the first quarter of 2013, driven by the concern that President Obama and Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) would succeed in passing gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting. This surge contributed to a record-breaking year that eventually totaled 21,093,273 background checks (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/06/2013-Gun-Sales-Skyrocketed-Break-Previous-Record-By-Wide-Margin) for gun purchasers.

The push for gun control was at its apex during the months January through April–a time in which Americans flocked to the NRA in record numbers. By February, Quinnipiac University reported that more Americans agreed with the NRA versus Obama by a margin of 46 to 43 percent (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/06/2013-Gun-Sales-Skyrocketed-Break-Previous-Record-By-Wide-Margin).

Federal gun control went down in flames on April 17 2013. Meanwhile, on May 3 2013, the NRA announced it had reached over five million members.

While these things were happening at the federal level, states were witnessing record-breaking levels for concealed carry (http://www.ammoland.com/conceal-carry-ctl) applications. In 2013, Florida became the first state to hit one million legally armed, concealed carry citizens; Kansas saw their concealed carry applications rise 54 percent over 2012 application levels (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/07/Kansas-Concealed-Carry-Applications-Up-54-Percent-In-2013); and Virginia broke a 24-year old record for gun sales.

Moreover, two thirds of the gun laws (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/12/31/NYT-Two-Thirds-Of-State-Gun-Laws-In-2013-Decreased-Gun-Control) passed at the state level during 2013 were designed to decrease, rather than increase, gun control.

This disparity between the push for gun control on the federal level and attempts to stifle gun control on the state level was indicative of a year-long pattern, where we saw gun control receiving less and less support the closer the debate got to the people.

This was typified by the Colorado recalls on September 10th, which succeeded in removing state Senators John Morse (D-Colo Springs) and Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) from office over their support for gun control. It was also evident in the defeat Mike Bloomberg and Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) suffered on November 5 in Virginia, when NRA-backed delegates defeated MAIG-backed delegates 65 to 2 (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/11/11/NRA-Beat-Bloomberg-backed-VA-Delegates-In-65-of-67-Races). On that same day, the citizens in Chambersburg, PA booted their mayor out of office because of his support of MAIG.

American Farmers Abandoning Genetically Modified Seeds: “Non-GMO Crops are more Productive and Profitable” (http://rinf.com/alt-news/breaking-news/american-farmers-abandoning-genetically-modified-seeds-non-gmo-crops-productive-profitable/)

Daniel Jennings

A growing number of farmers are abandoning genetically modified seeds, but it’s not because they are ideologically opposed to the industry.

Simply put, they say non-GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) crops are more productive and profitable.

Modern Farmer magazine discovered that there is a movement among farmers abandoning genetically modified organisms (http://www.offthegridnews.com/2013/12/18/farmer-blames-gmo-feed-for-pig-deformities-and-deaths/) (GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo)) because of simple economics.
“We get the same or better yields, and we save money up front,” crop consultant and farmer Aaron Bloom said of non-GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) seeds. Bloom has been experimenting with non-GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) seeds for five years and he has discovered that non-GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) is more profitable.

The re-converts to non-GMO seeds (http://modernfarmer.com/2013/12/post-gmo-economy/) are not hippies but conservative Midwestern farmers who are making a business decision, Modern Farmer discovered. They are switching back to natural seed because it is more profitable — not because of any ideology.

“Five years ago the [GMO seeds] worked,” said farmer Christ Huegerich, who along with his father planted GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) seeds. “I didn’t have corn rootworm because of the Bt gene, and I used less pesticide. Now, the worms are adjusting, and the weeds are resistant. Mother Nature adapts.”

Farmers can get paid more for conventional corn than GMO (http://rinf.com/alt-news/?s=gmo) corn.

The most basic unit of secession is the individual. We are all “nation-states” one way or another and the closer we can come to claiming our own unique, personal heritages the better off we will be.

This is the “anarchical” idea, of course. People can gather together voluntarily in larger groups and even sprawling communities. But the operative term here is “voluntarily.”"

This article is adapted from a speech (http://mises.org/media/8779/The-Case-for-Optimism) delivered at the 2014 Costa Mesa Mises Circle, “Society Without the State (http://mises.org/media/categories/210/Recent-Uploads),” held November 8, 2014.

I promised you some optimism today. Perhaps one of the most optimistic libertarians ever was Murray Rothbard, a happy intellectual warrior if ever there was one. And he was very enthusiastic about the revolution of libertarian ideas, because he understood fundamentally that liberty is the only manner of organizing society that is compatible with human nature and human action. And it was this optimism, this unshakeable belief that we’re right and the statists are wrong, that drove him to produce a staggering body of work in defense of personal liberty. Now let me stress that Rothbard, despite his reputation as an uncompromising intellectual, saw his efforts as pragmatic, not utopian. He understood quite clearly that utopianism was the hallmark of the state’s intellectual champions, not the state’s detractors. He understood that utopianism and statism, not liberty, produced the great monsters and the great wars of the twentieth century.

Most of all, he understood that the true utopians are the central planners who believe they can overcome human nature and steer human actors like cattle. To quote Murray: “The man who puts all the guns and all the decision-making power into the hands of the central government and then says, ‘Limit yourself’; it is he who is truly the impractical utopian.” In Rothbard’s eyes a libertarian world would be better, not perfect. So while our revolution is indeed intellectual, it is also optimistic and pragmatic. We should talk about liberty in terms of first principles, and how those principles make for a better society precisely because they accord with the innate human desire for liberty. Let the statists explain their grand schemes, while we offer a realistic vision of a world organized around civil society and markets.

Now, all of us who are liberty-minded have heard at least some version of the “unrealistic” accusation, “Oh, libertarianism would be great but it’s unrealistic,” they say. It’s one thing to talk about anarcho-capitalism in a dorm room discussion or philosophy lecture, but such a society is too impractical and idealistic for the real world. States have existed for as long as human societies, you’ll never get rid of them. Some might even go so far as to claim that a market exists for government “services,” seeing how states seem to keep cropping up in human history.

But let’s examine this. If you believe the state is harmful rather than benevolent; if you believe that the state threatens individual rights and property rights, rather than protects them; if you believe that the state decreases our chances for peace and prosperity; if you believe, in sum, that the state is an overwhelming force for ill in our society, a force that makes all of us far worse off, why in the world is it unrealistic to work toward its elimination?

Notice that the charge of being unrealistic, impractical, or overly idealistic is never applied to medicine or crime prevention. Nobody says to the cancer researcher, “you should be more realistic, cancer and infectious disease will always exist. Why not just work on making the common cold a bit less severe?” Nobody says to the criminal investigator, “gee, organized crime and violence are just part of human nature, it’s useless to try to prevent them. Maybe you should just focus on reducing bike thefts.”

So why should we be apologetic or timid or less than fully optimistic in our fight against the state? We should not. Like the cancer researcher, like the crime fighter, we should be bold, we should be optimistic, and we should be vigorous in our opposition to government. We should be every bit as certain as Murray Rothbard was in the eventual success of our mission.

I’m Optimistic Because the State Is Fiscally Unsustainable

Rest assured we will win. The state, at least as currently constituted in the US and most western nations, is dying under the weight of its sheer fiscal unsustainability.

I’m curious as to whether some of you have heard of Herbert Stein. You may know Ben Stein from “Win Ben Stein’s Money” and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Herbert Stein was his dad. Herbert Stein was an economist, and chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, a kind of cheerleading squad, for presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. He’s not my kind of economist, and was only faintly free market, but he was still an economist. And apparently an interesting man: in his later years he briefly wrote an anonymous “Dear Prudence” advice column forSlate and print papers.

Herbert Stein came up with his own law, known as Herbert Stein’s law. It goes like this: “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” It sounds simple. He used it to describe economic trends like balance of payments deficits. He meant that no program was needed to stop something that would stop by itself, something that could not be sustained. And clearly, the US federal government, the largest and most powerful government that ever existed, cannot be sustained. Not in the fiscal sense. No way, no how.

We’re not talking simply about the $17 trillion in Treasury bond debt the federal government owes its creditors. We’re talking about unsustainability on a much larger level. Economist Laurence Kotlikoff uses a concept known as the fiscal gap, which is much more accurate, and much more depressing, than tracking Treasury debt. The fiscal gap basically measures the present value of future tax revenues against the present value of future government obligations. So not just Treasury bond debt, but also Social Security, Medicare, welfare entitlements, etc. And Kotlikoff came up with a fiscal gap of more than $200 TRILLION. Let me repeat that: $200 TRILLION. Now we don’t have time today to discuss the details of the federal government’s fiscal situation, and how this fiscal gap came to be. But rest assured the reality is wildly worse than virtually anyone in government or the mainstream press will admit.

Understand that there is zero political will in Washington to cut the big ticket items like Social Security, Medicare, welfare, and defense. Zero. Remember the howls during the sequestration debates? Witness the outrage when Congress merely considers cuts in the rate of growth of certain programs! There is zero political will in Washington for huge tax increases, which wouldn’t help anyway. Politics will not solve this problem. Our federal government’s fiscal reality cannot be fixed, politically or economically. We cannot grow our way out of it. The numbers behind Kotlikoff’s fiscal gap simply cannot be overcome, they can only be put off — and made worse — by endless monetary expansion.

It may seem almost funny, but this reality should give us cause for optimism. We know the current arrangement cannot continue, so we — as liberty minded people — have a tremendous opportunity to recognize this and begin building the future. We don’t have to labor under the delusion that everything will continue as usual, that the system will work if only we reform it or tinker with it or elect the right people. We can be honest and recognize that democracy doesn’t work, it can’t work, and the sooner it is exposed as a failure the better. We should celebrate this understanding, because no progress toward liberty can occur until we understand reality and understand the problem at hand.

I’m Optimistic Because the State Is Intellectually Unsustainable

But there is a deeper and more satisfying reason for us to be optimistic. The state is not only fiscally unsustainable, it’s intellectually unsustainable as well. We should be optimistic because we’re living at the beginning of what Hans-Hermann Hoppe calls a “bottom-up” revolution. Bottom-up because it starts at the individual and hyper-local level. Bottom-up because it relies on radical decentralization and political secession. Bottom-up because it bypasses politics and traditional power structures. Bottom-up because it bypasses state schools, state intellectuals, and state media.

Governments, and the political classes who run them, are facing a nonviolent revolution of ideas that was scarcely imaginable just twenty years ago. And this revolution will strike at the heart of these states’ only true asset: their legitimacy in the eyes of those they would govern. The bottom-up revolution is based on informed individuals who increasingly don’t need elites, political, academic, or scientific, to run their lives. It is based on the recognition that national and global governance schemes have failed to solve, or even address, huge structural problems like hunger, medical care, energy, and economic development. It is based on radical decentralization, political and otherwise, because the vast diversity of individual interests demands an end to top-down government edicts and bullying by 51 percent of the electorate.

This can happen — and is happening — without even a tacit acceptance or understanding of liberty among the majority of people necessarily. They simply see with their own eyes that the state doesn’t work, so naturally they seek another way. I think this is especially true of millennials, who are not particularly libertarian but yet still deeply distrustful of government.

Technology plays a huge role in this bottom-up revolution. Technology has given us the ability to find fellow travelers anywhere in the world, and to compare notes on what our would-be rulers are doing. It has taken the monopoly over the marketplace of ideas away from traditional media outlets. It has enormously lowered the cost of learning and acquiring knowledge. It has literally brought the vast store of human knowledge to our fingertips! Governments will have an awfully hard time keeping all this information, not to mention the ideas of liberty, away from people who are increasingly connected and hungry for a better life.

The toothpaste is out of the tube, so to speak. To be absolutely clear: technology is not an ideology. And technology is used by the state, just as it is used against the state. Imagine J. Edgar Hoover with today’s NSA apparatus available to him! And technology can never change the fundamental choice before us: liberty or statism. There is no “third way.” Either humans deal with one another voluntarily, through civil society and markets, or they deal with each other using compulsion, through crime or government. Economic means or political means, the age-old choice remains the same.

But the free and virtually instantaneous flow of information has radically transformed the world. Governments like to talk about democracy. Well, they’re about to get it good and hard. Realdemocracy, where people vote with their feet, their wallets, and their mobile devices, across borders.

I’m optimistic that this global interconnectedness will pose a huge threat to the viability of many nation-states, and to their political ruling classes as a result. People are now connected by ideas, by interests, by shared values, by commerce and not only by geography and nationality. In fact, geography and nationality are shrinking in importance every day.

Perhaps the greatest legacy of the online revolution will be the demise of state education systems. Teacher unions, lousy and compulsory schools, huge administrative bureaucracies, outlandish pensions, and crushing student loan debt clearly are unsustainable. Government schools clearly cost too much and teach too little of importance, like classical languages, rigorous math and science, skilled trades, and money management. What they do teach is often harmful and statist — the whole panoply of victim’s studies.

Liberty is not possible in a society filled with ill-educated, state-indoctrinated people. So the need for separation of education and state has never been greater, and it’s at our doorstep. The online education revolution, still in its infancy, will make learning cheaper, easier, more efficient, and — most importantly — accountable. Market-based education will produce actual results — the antithesis of government education. We should all be happy to witness the state’s education model crumbling.

All of these happy developments will take place at their own pace, sometimes quickly — as with the fall of the former Soviet Union — and sometimes slowly. There is great cause for optimism that this bottom-up revolution can take place inexorably, and nonviolently. There are no guarantees, of course, and political interests can be expected to react violently when threatened. But many of these seismic shifts are already underway, and one gets the sense that power is flowing away from the political classes, slowly but surely. States and statists are losing their greatest asset, legitimacy.

None of this withering away of state legitimacy should surprise us. Just as Mises conclusively explained the impossibility of socialism as an economic system, the great Spanish economist Jesús Huerta de Soto and others make the case for the impossibility of statism as a social, legal, and political system. As Huerta de Soto explains, it simply is not possible intellectually to defend a coercive central state with a monopoly on aggression. Such a state cannot achieve its coordination goals, just like central economic planners cannot know the price to place on a bushel of wheat or the number of automobiles to produce. The huge volume of information an all-encompassing state would need is too dispersed, too tacit, too quickly changing, and too distorted when commanded by the state rather than received by markets.

It’s not liberty that’s impossible ladies and gentlemen, it’s statism.

Conclusion

Personally, I don’t care if you call yourself a conservative, a constitutionalist, a classical liberal, a libertarian, a minarchist, an anarcho-capitalist, a progressive or whatever — this message is for you. All that matters is you recognize and agree that the state is out of control, even if just in one area, like drug laws or foreign policy — we can work out the details later! We are so far from what anyone in this room envisions as a free society that many of these labels and differences seem petty, to say the least.

Murray Rothbard used a freedom train metaphor that I think applies quite well today; he actually borrowed it from the late Gene Burns, who was a phenomenal talk radio host for years in San Francisco.

The freedom train metaphor for building a movement is very simple: if you want more freedom, join us. Get on the train. You can get off whenever you like. Maybe you favor 60 percent of our ideas, or 80 percent, or 90 percent, or whatever. Just join us and go as far as you like, get off when you like. As I said earlier, we are so far from what anyone in this room considers a free society that we hardly should concern ourselves about it now. Let’s just get the train moving in the right direction! I really like this metaphor; it sure beats endlessly putting ourselves in narrow boxes.

So in closing let me encourage you to embrace an optimistic strategy for liberty. Understand that we simply don’t have to convince everyone, or even a majority of people, that liberty is better. We certainly don’t have to convince our opponents. Today, just as in colonial America during our revolution, most people are fence sitters.

As talk radio host Herman Cain recently said to a caller, we can only save those who would be saved. Far too often we let the statists frame the debate. Far too often liberty-minded people are defined by what we oppose — government — rather than by what we propose: liberty.

So propose liberty, and make the case for optimism. After all, despite the state and its depredations we still lead magnificent lives compared to virtually every human who ever walked the earth — kings and queens included. If we let the state make us unhappy or pessimistic about our future, we will have failed not only our children and grandchildren, but our ancestors as well.

Thank you.

CNN Debunks their own lie about crowd sizes at Trump's Inauguration with their Gigapixel Photograph

First they lied claiming hardly anyone showed up by comparing an 8 am 2017 picture (when people were only starting to arrive) to 12 noon fully packed 2009 picture. (a sly deception indeed)

http://hips.htvapps.com/htv-prod-media.s3.amazonaws.com/images/trump-vs-obama-inauguration-1484949150.jpg

As you can see, the spaces shown empty previously, were actually packed!

Not to mention the fact that it was beginning to rain, and there were protestors actually blocking entrances, and even beating people up, preventing a lot of people from being able to attend!

Furthermore, here is footage showing that even the overflow area BEHIND the Washington Monument was also PACKED!

Why are you carrying the water for Trump like this?

ETA: I mean your blatant propaganda is ridiculous. Obviously you're comparing apples and oranges because the bottom pic is from a different angle, where the camera faces the crowds head on and not from above so the white spaces are harder to see. But sure enough, when you look closely, there they are. It clearly wasn't packed even in that pic.

And what's your basis for saying that they used an 8 am picture? That doesn't look like 8 am to me. It looks like the sun is reflecting off of the side of the Capitol building that faces the mall, which is the west side, meaning it would be late in the day.

There is no way both photos are from the same time of day, unless the laws of physics have undergone profound changes in the last 8 years affecting the relative position of the sun at the same date and time of every year. I mean, I suppose if someone secretly trashed every single law of physics and and orbital mechanics we've ever known and just replaced them all with play dough, it could be possible for the sun to be ohhh, looks like 70° out? at the same time and day but 8 years apart.

Why are you carrying the water for Trump like this?Because Trump is a gift from God to buy a few more years for this country. The man is nothing short of brilliant so far (though, I'd prefer he didn't threaten people with border taxes). But on balance, the guy is quite awesome! Cutting internal taxes in half, cutting regulation by at least 75%, ending Obamacare scam and the TPP... What's not to like?

ETA: I mean your blatant propaganda is ridiculous. Obviously you're comparing apples and oranges because the bottom pic is from a different angle, I point your attention that the same wide white building/structure across the width of the National Mall is seen in both photographs, showing the SAME stretch of the Mall from the water's edge to almost the base of the Washington Monument. Thus, though the angle is different, the area shown is pretty much the SAME, which serves my point perfectly.

where the camera faces the crowds head on and not from above so the white spaces are harder to see. But sure enough, when you look closely, there they are. It clearly wasn't packed even in that pic.At Trump's inauguration white lawn cover was used as opposed to sand color used in 2009. Thus empty spots are less visible in 2009 photograph but they are definitely there, no less so than in 2017; in fact, probably more empty spots in the middle of the Mall in 2009.

Secondly, if you use the gigapixel photograph and zoom into the white spots, you will see that people are filled up right to the fences that are placed there. So they are empty not by choice of the crowd but by direction of the ushers.

So yes, it was PACKED.

And what's your basis for saying that they used an 8 am picture? That doesn't look like 8 am to me. It looks like the sun is reflecting off of the side of the Capitol building that faces the mall, which is the west side, meaning it would be late in the day.Whichever exact hour it was, it was not the time of swearing in, but way before or way after it. That's the whole substance of the deception they pulled.

They were comparing apples and oranges and lied about the facts.

And the fact is: IT WAS PACKED!

The devil ... said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.”He is a liar. He is lying. The poor devil didn't have a square foot to his name and is an imposter. Don't believe him. Jesus didn't. The "prince of this world" only has power because he duped people and they were stupid enough to believe him. He was trying to sell Jesus Brooklyn Bridge, which Jesus already owned.

I would further refer you to Danial's Vision,, since you cited him.

The stone that destroyed all kingdoms. You are right. All of the kingdoms and nations of the world will self-destruct. The only thing left standing when he comes, will be his church and kingdom on the earth.

Today, the burden of fear and the stress of bearing it is felt by millions of people, and the main reason for it is militarism, armed conflicts, the arms race, and the nuclear Sword of Damocles. Ridding the world of this fear means making people freer. This should become a common goal. Many other problems would then be easier to resolve. The time to decide and act is now. It just happens that Trump delivers more in this category than anybody else in recent years.

Trump Responds to Drudge: Announces ‘Phenomenal’ Tax Cuts in Coming Weeks
President promises to swiftly cut taxes, burdensome regulations

https://static.infowars.com/images/963482.mp4

At a White House meeting with several top airline executives, the president announced he would relieve US businesses of burdensome regulations and said a major tax overhaul should be expected within “two or three weeks.”

“We want to help you realize these goals by rolling back burdensome regulations, and you people are regulated probably as much as almost anybody,” Trump said. “We have a regulatory morass that’s a disaster.”

“Lowering the overall tax burden on American business is big league, that’s coming along very well,” the president stated. “We’re way ahead of schedule, I believe. And we’re going to be announcing something — I would say over the next two or three weeks — that will be phenomenal.”

...
The wonderful thing about Trump – and the thing that sets the Fredocons and wusspublicans fussing – is that he gives exactly zero damns about the media’s inflated and ridiculous self-image. He doesn’t pay lip service to their lie that they are anything but what Instapundit calls “Democratic Party operatives with bylines.” Trump called them the “the enemy of the American People,” to which normals responded with “Yeah, sounds about right.”

Trump sees them as the enemy, which they are, and he calls them what they are, just like he calls radical Islamic terrorists “radical Islamic terrorists” instead of generic “extremists” who shout “Allah Akbar!” as they commit acts of “workplace violence” whose motives remain elusive and unknowable. It would be ironic that the media hates it when a politician tells the truth, except no one still believes the media is in the truth business.

What this means, is that Ron Paul and Peter Schiff are wrong:

The global elites CANNOT pull the plug on our economy if the people repudiate all the fraudulent debts that were hoisted on them.

As Robert Steele correctly points out, in this country we have enough energy, water and food to be just fine if the people stop being idiots, and repudiate fraudulent debts, and restore justice.

I do support Trump's idea to stop crime committed by illegal aliens.
I do support Trump's idea to abolish US export taxes. Excellent!
I do support Trump's idea to stop forced integration of illegal immigration (i.e. forcing communities to accept illegal aliens that do not support the same values).
I do support Trump's idea to lower taxes for companies and for the middle class. (Because public taxation of private property is theft and legalized plunder, and therefore is unjust).
I do support Trump's idea to slash regulation. (Because public regulation of private property is unjust. You have no right to "regulate" what is not yours. It is a violation of private property and therefore of justice. The only regulation private property can justly have is that the property of no one is to be violated).
I do support Trump's idea to bring corrupt and wicked vaccine industry to justice. (Because they are poisoning our children with intentionally tainted vaccines.)
I do support Trump's idea to legalize health insurance competition across state lines. Because to forbid such competition is unjust.

However

I do not support Trump's idea to raise import taxes. Because that is immoral and unjust. You have no right to tax that which is not yours. It is legalized plunder, and thus a reason enough to forbid it; but moreover, it will increase the prices of products in the country for the consumers. So ultimately it is the consumers in this country that will indirectly pay the tax. All of this is UNJUST, because it is legalized plunder, and thus is legalized evil.
I do not support Trump's idea to massively increase military spending, because it is already more than the rest of the world combined, with at least half of it stolen and wasted already.
I do not support Trump's idea to FORCE American companies to buy American, because that is unjust. You have no right to regulate that which is NOT yours. That is a violation of private property and thus a violation of justice. Example: Forcing the pipeline builders to use American pipes is not only unjust (which is a reason enough to oppose it), but it will also raise the price of the pipeline which increase in price will be passed onto the consumers. That is a violation of private property and therefore of justice.

Why the MSM Is Ignoring Trump’s Unprecedented Sex Trafficking Busts (https://www.infowars.com/why-the-msm-is-ignoring-trumps-unprecedented-sex-trafficking-busts/)

Under 400 arrests in 2014 - 1,500 in Trump's first month!

https://hw.infowars.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/trump-2016-12452.jpg

Since President Donald Trump has been sworn in on Jan. 20, authorities have arrested an unprecedented number of sexual predators involved in child sex trafficking rings in the United States.

This should be one of the biggest stories in the national news. Instead, the mainstream media has barely, if at all, covered any of these mass pedophile arrests. This begs the question – why?

..trump is another republicrat puppet who, in his some 70 years on the planet, to my knowledge, has never uttered an honest, insightful condemnation of the hideous monetary order under which we are enslaved....trump is another republican puppet who is no threat to this looooooong-time, miserable 'financial order'...

...'the money system' is arguably the most important element in a true, honest 'foundation of liberty'...and as to this mo$t important of topic$, ?your stinking republicans are at least as peckerheaded as the stinking democrats at whom ?your republican-radio/teevee gasbags spit all goddamned day long..ugh...UGH!!...

...get real!...HOW CAN WE 'RETURN' TO A [stinking] 'GOLD STANDARD' THAT NEVER existed?!?...AGAIN, according to the world's leading monetary historian, steve zarlenga, (if you know of a better one, please name...in advance, i didn't think so) THE BANKSTERS CHEATED FROM DAY ONE...issuing many more 'promises to redeem in gold' than the gold they held for redemption..the so-called 'gold standard' about which you ludwig/blather was nothing more than a paper/digit monetary order with a little ('fractional reserve') gold mixed in to baffle/bamboozle the mullets (republicrats of the day)...

...turn off the republican radio and read/think for yourself...your orange idiot, trump, sucks bigly...

Both of the statements that Foundation made, however, happen to be true. This must be a source of great frustration to you, due to your own chosen brand of blindness.

It's not at all frustrating to admit that Trump said those things. Trump takes every position imaginable. We could edit a whole debate of Trump versus Trump with his own words. What's frustrating is that people here who pretend to care about liberty take him to be trustworthy when he says what they want to hear.

I am a supporter of Free Competition in Currencies (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?251788-Honest-Money-Constitutional-Amendment). And when that is in place, which justice demands that people be free to do, then fraudulent "fractional reserve" currencies (think of the term, it's like saying "fractional honesty!" they make fraud sound so respectable) will end by the hand of Free Market, because they will be rejected in favor of more honest systems. And history shows, in large economies, when people are free to choose, they prefer 100% commodity based monetary systems like gold and silver.

And as for Trump, he is a mixed bag, but on balance he is a "huge" net positive, and I mean "huge!" ;)

He is quite charming. Of course, he was born into this fraud and plunder, and is simply carrying it on.

There is repentance still. Would to God they will take it, because if not, awful is the weight of the blood of billions upon one family, for God will not be mocked, and He will bring every work into judgement, and His judgment is just.

What is that judgment?

Nothing less or more than for every person to experience what he or she inflicted upon others. That is justice eternal. It cannot be escaped any more than God, reality or self.

What you send out will come back unto you to the absolute uttermost. This is why evil always self-destructs, and good always triumphs.

1st Amendment win...

The Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of journalists (http://www2.ca3.uscourts.gov/opinarch/161650p.pdf) and ordinary bystanders video recording police. The three-judges appellate panel ruled in the cases of a Temple University student, Richard Fields and Amanda Geraci, who was a member of a police watchdog group in Philadelphia called Up Against the Law.
It was a case that drew a "friend of the court" (http://www.rcfp.org/news/documents/20100715-amicusbriefinsnydervphelps.pdf) brief from The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and was joined by 31 other media organizations including the National Press Photographers Association, Radio Television Digital News Association, The Associated Press, Gannett, McClatchy, NPR, The New York Times, The Online News Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. The groups argued that the right to video-record police in a public place is a First Amendment right. And if the police could stop a bystander from recording an officer in a public place, then police could stop journalists too.
