residential hopeful Ron Paul laid out his vision for America at the Park Events Place Center in Cedar Falls on Wednesday as part of his weekly campaign efforts in the state leading up to the Ames straw poll on Aug. 13.
Speaking without notes to an audience of about 200 supporters, Paul, often dubbed the “godfather of the Tea Party,” said that if elected, he would govern by applying the Constitution.
Without one-liners and scripted jokes, he spoke in plain English with a casual inflection to a captive audience, including parents with young children, college students, business owners and retired people.
