Now that I think about it, the website is fine. It's pinging at 47ms, and you can still browse the site. It's just the main page that is gone. I think the campaign pre-emptively took down the bandwidth intensive files so the server could handle the Leno traffic.

Possibilities:
1. Heavy data files taken down on purpose to get ready for traffic.
2. Hacked, but I doubt it.
3. The heavy data files were located on a different server which crashed.
If the files were removed temporarily by the campaign, thats a pretty stupid move. Every new potential voter should be able to see what activities the supporters are engaging in.
