With the recent critical downtime of your website which is a necessity for converting potential voters, I am displeased with your website's current performance. I have paid your campaign hundreds of dollars to help Ron Paul win the Presidency and the critical campaign website keeps potential voters from accessing information. So I have a suggestion:

Three magical words can ensure your website will never experience downtime again, it's called a CDN. A content delivery network is the same technology that delivers bandwidth for YouTube, MySpace, Photobucket, ect. To learn a little about this technology you can click here (http://www.cachefly.com/demo.html)

So you have a choice: risk your website going down everytime traffic spikes, or switch your hosting to a CDN.

List of popular CDNs:

1. http://www.limelightnetworks.com/
2. http://www.vitalstream.com/
3. http://www.akamai.com/
4. http://level3.com/content/services/cdn/index.html
5. http://www.cachefly.com

ok so wait......

every time you guys hit ronpaulgraphs.com doesnt it make a request from some RonPaul2008.com api or some shit?

therefore putting load on the server just like going to the site????

so you say STAY OFF THE SITE but then you go to another site that pulls from the site??????

Youtube is conveniently down for uploading too. Now what's that all about.

Yeah I agree!

The home page of ron pauls site pulls too much data at one time. Plus he has a widget that runs across thousands of sites.

They need a separate site just for that widget. You ever notice it lag when that thing loads? I do.

btw, a CDN doesn't mean no downtime, look at youtube now :D it has been down some tonight.

Yeah a lot of data is stored on the same server the campaign uses. Like the images on his myspace page is also connected to his campaign website. So you could visit his myspace and use up the campaign websites bandwidth.

Traditional hosting makes all the users connect to a single point causing traffic congestion. With a CDN, the information on the website is stored on multiple servers around the globe and whichever server is nearest to a user, that user connects to. A CDN simply decentralizes a website causing bandwidth problems to be a problem of the past.

I think it's the big Flash ad donation counter thing that makes it fail under load.

Good news though is that probably most people who watched the program won't hit the website until tomorrow. Or maybe they'll hear about it at work.

The load should be much more spread out then.
