Tara Hollis is standing up to big government neo-con Bobby Jindal in Louisiana. She's a school Teacher holding him accountable on transparency, use of 'one-time money' in the budget and his national agenda to suck up to the big government faction in the Republican Party.

She and her husband are also huge Ron Paul fans.

Please check this lady out and give her a chance. She has a 'moneybomb' scheduled on July 14th.

Her website is HERE. (http://tarahollis.com)

From a superficial review of her website, I have a lot of questions. However, any competition for Jindal from a "huge Ron Paul fan" is potentially good.

She's a first time candidate, but seems to be taking the right basic steps. Jindal may be vulnerable and she wants to give him a competitive race.

I'll be watching and potentially supporting.

Interestingly, Jindal's campaign committee donated $5,000 to Mrs. Hollis' classroom, presumably to urge her to leave the campaign trail. She sent him a 'thank you' letter requesting a meeting on the matter, and he was pushed into saying yes!

Hoping she'll get a genuine look from people around the country who wouldn't mind sticking it to old' Bobby.

Here's part of her pitch:

Bobby Jindal donated $5,000 to Tara's classroom hoping she would leave the campaign trail!

How much will YOU donate to make sure that Tara is there to fight for us! We can hold Bobby Jindal accountable for his epic failure! Louisiana needs a full-time Governor again!

This is excellent. I like seeing RP people firing all cylinders at politicians at every level ala Debra Medina and Gunny.

wouldn't she be better off running for a House or Senate seat?

I think she's interested in sound money initiatives at the state level.

Jindal is beloved in the Republican Party. What are Hollis' chances for success?

Jindal's unfavorable rating has increased to 44%, the highest of any statewide elected official in Louisiana. According to a recent poll by a respected Republican pollster, his 'automatic re-elect' -- the % of people who will 'definitely vote for Jindal' has fallen to a shocking 35.6%! At the same time, the % of people who will 'definitely vote for someone else' has risen to 32%! An additional 28% say they will 'definitely consider someone else'.

So, with 99% name ID, and no political opposition for the last 3 years, Jindal has problems with a full 2/3 of Louisiana likely voters! His big problem is that people in Louisiana have discovered that he doesn't give a damn about them. All he cares about are his national political ambitions! He's always flying around the country to fundraisers and campaigning for Republicans like Mitt Romney!

Jindal also has a HUGE problem with his efforts to destroy transparency in the Governor's office. Louisiana's Governor's office is 'dead last' in the nation in transparency. And it's all because Jindal has closed off all the records of his office and fought bills (by Republican legislators) to open them up. He recently vetoed a bill to open up records on the BP oil spill. A lot of people down here are furious about that. As a result, Mrs. Hollis has a lot she can run on.

If Mrs. Hollis is able to raise even a fraction of what Jindal has -- she will definitely give him a competitive race, and may even be able to spring the upset.

Mrs. Hollis is making a splash, to be sure. We're hoping she'll have a strong showing on her Moneybomb, July 14th.

So what else would she be able to do as Governor? Would she support a bill cracking down on illegal immigration, like the one in Arizona?

There are a lot of things a Governor can do to promote liberty and constitutional government. She would promote limited government, lower taxes, less spending, less government intrusion into our private lives, advocate for state's rights, and strategies to promote constitutional money at the state level. She would probably call for the return of the National Guard from Iraq and Afghanistan, among other things...

The big item on her agenda, vis a vis Jindal, is transparency. Jindal's office is 'dead last' in the nation in transparency. It appears there are a lot of crooked contracts, etc., that need to be looked into.
